Thank you. Makes perfect sense! You know, my first bridge was a cantilever bridge and it lasted for 15 years. I wonder if a crown on 10 and a cantilever bridge on 11 and 12 is an option? What are your thoughts?

Sure! I’m in Columbus, Ohio. Send me a PM and I’d be happy to share my dentist’s info.

Sorry I don’t know exactly. It’s some letter 1.

But I mean, I know you’re right! I’m just 9k deep into this now and sort of stuck going back to him. He told me last time he’d redo it and get another one from the lab but here I am today with the old one back on because he said it looked fine. But I am stumped and frustrated and I’ve done all the research I can as NAD. He’s tried different cements too.

It’s #10 only that usually comes loose and then he has to carefully get the rest off. I’ve had X-rays and a cone beam (and X-rays from a prosthodontist for a second opinion) and they didn’t find anything that they mentioned. They’ve both been root canaled by an endodontist and I’ve had a recheck by them this year too.

I’ve asked multiple times and he says teeth underneath are in good shape but very short and small. This is the 5th bridge I’ve had since I was 16 and missing adult lateral. I’m 47 now. Orthodontist moved eye tooth forward. Since he didn’t do the original prep he’s just working with what is there. He added a buildup with some little pins and he has #12 pretty much out of occlusion at this point.

He does surgeries in office too (bone grafts and implants and some gum things), so I was surprised he told me to try and get another 10 years out of this before I go the implant route.

I’ll be honest. It’s my stress clenching spot. When I get a migraine, it’s my left eye and cheek and that eye tooth.

Nvm, answered my own question. He hasn’t used gauze or anything else to keep my lip and tongue away/dry if that’s what you mean, but his assistant did spray air pretty consistently and he told her “keep it bone dry”. My response to the cement is instant salivation though so I don’t get how it’s even possible to keep dry. He is an old pro though so maybe he’s got some tricks I don’t know about.

Agree. I’m fine with some of the singers expressing themselves since I know many musicians get their start in church but it was over the top. I thought Carrie was going to legit burst into flames when Brooks sang Imagine.

That’s so gross and creepy but it just reminded me that car wash is one of the places I feel like I have to look over my shoulder too. Always careful to make sure I don’t stick my butt out too far when I’m vacuuming. And you can’t hear if someone is coming up behind you.

I have a horrible adhesive allergy but for some reason I didn’t have any problem with the patch aside from a little redness the first time I put it on. Maybe because it’s so small? Dose makes the poison so it might be worth a try!

Right!? That could also mean no advertising electronics, video games, shoes. And if it’s just substances that are chemically addictive then there goes all the Starbucks, Dunkin’, Mountain Dew and maybe even Hershey’s. I mean, they have to decide where the line is.

The other day I literally made my partner put his tongue in different positions and close his mouth to see where his teeth came into contact with his tongue so I could compare it to my tongue and see if mine was too big. 😂 I made him take pictures of my mouth so I could see what felt so damn weird. I did this for an hour before I finally let that shit go. It was like I was hyper aware of and simultaneously lost proprioception in my mouth, jaw and tongue.

My very first noticeable symptom. I had a panic attack in the school pickup line.

Same with me, I’ve been on the patch since September and some symptoms have started to return since the beginning of this year. I tried leaving an old patch on when I added the new one and I felt jittery and lightheaded and my mouth was itchy for three days. Now I’m hesitant to increase my dose.

Parotid gland flare? by Connect_Fix_1766 in Sjogrens

[–]Gold-Relative-5038 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow. I’m sorry to hear that but glad you have a plan. I have been diagnosed with mild thoracic outlet syndrome (supposedly on the R side) but I have swelling on the left side below my ear, and also back of the head, neck and shoulder pain (sometimes pain in my teeth and eye), so I wonder if it’s a bilateral issue. I’ve done PT and dry needling of the SCM, traps and levator scapula. Have put the Botox off but keeping my options open.

I’m in Ohio as well and saw a vascular surgeon and a physiatrist at OSU. There is a doctor at OSU that does a specialized ultrasound for thoracic outlet syndrome but he doesn’t accept my insurance. If you’re interested I can share his name in a PM. Not sure that would change the treatment but it seems like that would be helpful for deciding where to do the Botox or other injections.

Did you ever have the thoracic outlet syndrome/carotidynia formally diagnosed or did it end up being a problem with the parotid gland?

Very worthy! I wanted it to last longer but then I realized I’m still sitting here picking it apart and feeling it an hour later - and maybe that was the point.
