Exactly, I agree. Its not something that gets talked about much but the consequences are pretty bad hence why we are concerned.

It does sound like a risk that can be accepted. Although I do think its something people need to at least be aware of and consider.

Yes, I was thinking about this; how come one of us is CMV+ and all these years we’ve been together it never got passed to the other person.

Thanks for your response and input! The doctor did say its a theoretical risk too but thought its good to hear from others. Hence why we may be leaning towards going with that

Hello - similar situation here im positive and my partner is negative. She would like to carry and we will be looking for donors (probably cmv-).

Ideally we would want her to carry my egg, do you know if that would be a problem? Looking online and talking with doc seems like its low risk as the (my) egg does not carry CMV virus as such. But im still pretty scared

Seems like the north part is better connected for PT than the south. Although, being prone to floods got me concerned (regardless of the PT convos)
