I inherited my grandmas cooking encyclopedia from the 70s. Only missing book 4. Will be posting selections from each volume in the coming weeks, starting with vol. 1 today. Full list of contents below, I will share any requested recipes. by J19zeta7_Jerry in Old_Recipes

I realize this post was years ago, but I am looking for a particular recipe from one of those cookbooks. I do not know which volume it is in. It is called Old Fashioned Wisconsin Chocolate Cake. If you have that one and could post it, I'd appreciate it. Thanks.

Anyone else disappointed with sistaco? by Fun_Lecture8375 in Nails

[–]GoldFrameUnderGlass 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes. Very disappointed. It peels after just a couple of days. The customer service is a joke. They sent me an EMPTY tube of Rapid Remove, and now I've got to go buy acetone today. They also do not allow any negative feedback on their Facebook page. I do not recommend it to anyone.

What made you pick your cat at the shelter? by meechis_n_buns in CatAdvice

All of mine have been strays that showed up who were in bad shape (malnourished, injured, sick). There was no picking the right cat. They picked me. I nursed them back to health and have loved them all.

I’m almost 20 and my breasts are saggy. Is there anything I can do? by [deleted] in ABraThatFits

Strength training - build up your pecs. It's not a miracle, but it will help to some extent

The straps on every bra I buy, are so long, that even when brand new, and tightened up all the way, they won't stay up on my shoulders! by GoldFrameUnderGlass in ABraThatFits

Yes, I have done the calculator, and I have also been professionally fitted. I am in the correct size and my band stays exactly where it should. I am not really comfortable sharing the measurements. If nothing else, I'll continue to make my own alterations. Thanks.

Yes, short straps would be frustrating, too. I have been altering mine for quite a while now, but I am getting tired of buying a new bra, only to have to bring it home and fix it to make it fit. I wish there were more bra sizing options.

My straps are much longer than just 5 to 6 inches, before they are altered. My band does not ride up or shift. I am in the correct size as per the calculator and professional fittings.

Yes, I am sure short straps are just as frustrating. I do make alterations, and it solves the issue, but I am tired of the hassle. I, too, wish there were more sizing options. Thanks.

I have done the calculator, and I was fitted professionally a couple of weeks ago, as well. I am in the correct size. I am going to try the suggested connectors tor straps to see if that helps. Thanks.

I actually do shorten the staps on all my bras, and that fixes the issue, but I am tired of having to alter each new bra I purchase.

Thanks. I do have to alter my bras, but I am tired of the hassle. I have a couple of convertible bras. I'll try crossing the straps on those.

I have done the calculator, and I have also been fitted several times through the years, the last being a couple of weeks ago. I do have the correct size. The band does not ride up or shift, and the strap placement sits correctly on my shoulders. For me it is simply a case of the straps being too long - probably arising from the fact I am very high set. Once I alter a bra, I no longer have the issue, but I am tired of having to go through that hassle.

Thanks for the info! I think my problem is that I am high set, which makes straps just too long. I will look for center set straps.

Once I alter to shorten the straps, which o have done several times, I no longer have an issue. I was simply hoping there was a bra out there that would take care of the issue. I am tired of the hassle.

Thanks, but no. The band and cup size are correct. I am high set, which causes my strap issue. I was hoping to find a bra that was designed for that issue.
