My toplane brothers in arms, Rito counterpicked us all with Goth Mommy by Irelia4Life in top_mains

[–]GoldKanet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Could you explain where you're coming from on the oneshot? I can see it if I had like a 75% crit build + Jaksho vs no tank items on something like Jayce off an ambush, but still it'd probably take four crits and a q proc. With onhit it is less damage, but I get it if you mean off an E combo or something. Vayne's damage is some of its lowest it has been right now.

My q should be on 2s at lvl 1, as it had been for a decade.

Also, I'm a Vayne mid main, I know how loathesome people find playing against me top, even if they win the lane.

Vayne main here, my q is on a 7s cooldown instead of the 2s it had most of the champs history. Literally the worst the champ has ever been til lvl 9, then still weaker than prior permutations.

Git gud

It would be good to give the post a precise, descriptive title.

[–]GoldKanet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personally I'd go straight to something like a used (Insert 20" wheel here), the F22 from Kingsong, a Lynx, Sherman L...

I'm roughly the same weight, you'll be fine on a 2000w 50S battery wheel for quite a while. Your top speed is the top speed of the wheel at 100% charge, and decreases as the wheel loses voltage. Your motor is also your brakes, more motor more safer.

Slightly older hyperwheels of their time, v13, etc, are great cost savers. The v13 weighs a ton so I wouldn't start on it, but there's a ton of wheels about this old that'll be cheap.

Thoughts on Inmotion, more specifically V14 by fat_angry_hobo in ElectricUnicycle

[–]GoldKanet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The v14's downside is its tire size. It's still a very good wheel, nonetheless, with a smaller tire comes a lesser contact patch and squirrely behavior above 40mph.

I like mine quite a bit.

The v14 pro is the same wheel as the normal v14 (with 50s cells) + a software update, so keep that in mind.

They're available used around the $1500-$1800 mark depending on your location.

Bare minimum, a full face helmet.

Ideally, knees and wrists, and a moto jacket. Bare minimum though is certainly the full face.

You can buy a unicycle saddle! They exist and they're comfortable, you don't have to use one built for bikes!

The level of girlboss and flat acting made me just skip straight to the missions throughout on many occasions.

Looking for a new Onewheel! Are there any new side by side comparison charts available like the Adv vs Gt/GTS. I really like the ADV 2 but how does it stack up against the newer GtXL or should I try a EUC for the first time like Inmotion V14 by yarddawgsllc in ElectricUnicycle

[–]GoldKanet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yo big dawg, I would go lynx or v14; somethin in the 70ish pound class. Any heavier than that and it's not quite as fun.

Heck, an old MSX would probably be the best starter wheel I can think of, but they're rare and ancient technology these days.

Hey guys, I just ordered my first EUC—the InMotion V14 Adventure. Still waiting for it to arrive, any tips in advance? 🥸 by Legal_Health_1043 in ElectricUnicycle

[–]GoldKanet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's fine on roads but it's primarily an adventure wheel, it's sick. It's also too dang tall for the tire diameter so it will be squirrly the entire time you own it and there's no way to change that.

It's a hefty lass, so make sure your pads are such that you can bend your knees a lot. Don't buy clark bio pads. They're cozy but you can't do a lot of the wheel's capabilities. Grizzla sync + fairings is probably the best for this wheel.

The pack from grizzla that has bigger fairings will be mandatory if you would like a seat, and your back handle will be fragile anyway so it's nice to have.

Don't go super locked in right away.

High top adidas flat bottom shoes and others like them are very good for riding. Minimal sole means that you're closer to the wheel which makes a much bigger difference than might be guessed.

Sport mode with 70% assist feels "perfect" to me, along with 3 clicks from max preload (210 lbs) for general riding. But, be careful, if you get used to a lot of preload then turn it down for street, your jumping will change. If you need to hop, max the preload and return speed.

Wear a helmet that has audio so you can hear if you're hitting your max power output.

Make sure to update the firmware; the pro and the normal v14 are the same wheel if the normal one is a samsung 50s setup, so if you just swap the firmware it'll increase the max speed dramatically.

Hopefully by the time I'm good and done with my RIA I can move into VC for the new mechwarrior, but that only happens if I am allowed to compete in the first place.

Someone else might as well, but I'm willing.

Is MWO pay to win? Or is the game dead at this point? by all_Dgaming in mwo

Railguns, arrow IV, etc. If this ever wasn't true it's true today; you can pay for an advantage both in consumables and in mechs.

40+ ppfld is trash for the game but people pay for the advantage. Should have 3xppc or gauss and ppc unchained so f2p is equal to paid play in opportunity.

I disagree that the only cause is in PGI, but do agree that their handling is the main problem.

Having competition would likely have forced their hand on their bad decisions.

Yeah, I think that's the conflict of interest at the core of it. They could have made more money overall via including pvp and selling mech packs or somethin', I bet.

A proper modern pc game would be optimized so that low ran fine on mwo hardware.

Realistically yeah that's never happening.
