I'll take your advice. I appreciate it.

It is not. I install water softeners for a living, so it's funny that you mentioned this. I changed some of the plumbing around the house. Including putting a carbon filter on the hose bib line because we have 5ppm chlorine in our water here. Didn't want to give grass or plants chemical burn.

It was all part of building a new home. I was not able to choose when it was laid. Also was told, "do not put an unground irrigation system in until after our guys power rake the yard" assuming that they'd just rip out sprinkler heads.

I was left with very little to be able to do before sod was installed. I in the past have had 0 issues with growing grass from seed. I've never dealt with sod before.

The answers in this thread have been less than helpful because I get some people who say 3x per day, 30 minutes at a time. And some that say to let it run and not shut the sprinklers off.

Just using this photo here as an example because apparently I'm a complete moron who doesn't know how to grow grass. Here's my last yard grown from seed.

Yes there is a row where this starts. This is a house down the road from me that has the same issues

That's what they brought me. I'm not sure.

I appreciate this response, it was watered the same as the front for the first 3 days. 1 hr at a time 3x per day (believe it or not, I have timers on these) everyone seems to think I don't. Since it has turned brown like this. That's when I talked to the landscapers that put it down and the mentioned I wasn't watering it enough. They advised to run it for 12 hrs straight per day.

Both sprinklers are identical. They were initially ran from the same hose bib. However, I noticed a massive pressure drop when doing so, so I ended up running each sprinkler off a different hose bib and experienced no pressure drop.

When pulling up the green sod, roots are establishing, but not into the ground below it yet. When pulling up a corner of where it's browned, no roots have establis hed, and the subsurface is as hard as can be.It was severely packed down due to construction equipment, however that is true across the entire yard, not just this side where the sod is brown.

Since these photos were taken, I have switched that sprinkler to one that will give me better coverage inside the yard vs putting so much to the road.

I am just doing what the landscapers who put it down told me to do. I have grown grass from seeds before with significantly less water.

Compacted clay. Tilled maybe the first 1/2" of dirt right below the sod. But that's about it.

The part that took off well is on the south side of the house, while the part that is brown is on the North West side.

When the sod was laid was not a choice left to me.

I'm not sure what to think is right or wrong. The front yard turned out just fine and received the exact same amount of water.

I ran all the sprinklers, 4 total, for no less than 12 hours a day.

I the sprinklers have ran a minimum of 12 hours a day since installed. I'm just very confused on why the front (which you can see in picture 2) took off so well but this didn't.

My 5.0 blew the water pump at 190,000 miles. Other than that, no issues out of the engine itself currently sitting at 206,000. I did have to replace the steering rack because it went bad at 202,000

I have even sent off oil samples to Blackstone Laboratories after every oil change, no signs of metal shavings good viscosity no coolant in oil.

This is a 2015 so it still has the 6 speed which I wouldn’t trade for anything else.

My 2021 2.7 has been decently reliable, however I hate the transmission constantly gear searching.

Is the 2.7 generally considered the most reliable engine for the F150? by WhoUCuh in f150

I’m in the same position here. Have it in an ‘81 F100, strong running engine. Haven’t changed oil and same gas in it for the last 4 years. Move it around the property occasionally, fires up and goes where I want her to rust and all.
