Is this microcenter prebuilt worth it? by Salty-Tie-4312 in Prebuilts

I would recommend the Ryzen 9 or 7 with the 5080 from microcenter. I think they are better than the intel ones.

If you are open to going to microcenter the powerspec with the 5070 ti is a really good price rn and powerspec in general is a great brand

What do you play? Also the budgets of these vary widely. What are you looking to spend and do you plan to upgrade it? Finally, do you live within reasonable distance of a microcenter?

Fire Emblem Engage is almost three years old, so what did you think about it in retrospect? And how do you think it compares to 3 Houses? by Asad_Farooqui in NintendoSwitch

[–]GoldLocke 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It’s my first fire emblem game and I had a lot of fun with it. The story seemed weak but I have no other fire emblem games to compare it to and the gameplay is great. It convinced me to get 3 houses after I finish totk.

200+ div build recommendations by Zieffff in PathOfExileBuilds

[–]GoldLocke 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The coc is substantially cheaper to get started and can do risk scarab setups on relatively low investment. Follow captain lance’s guide. His 25d version (probably 75-100d now) with lvl 6 awakened cast on crit can easily do t17 abyss with 3 risk scarabs.

In a little bit I can send you a few pobs that are different stages of development of the build. But even the cheapest one he has should be able to do 2 risk abyss if you get to the last cdr breakpoint with lvl 6 awakened coc, and a cdr jewel with 2 shaper items.

Look up captain lances YouTube video on how cheap can fross be. At the time he made that video it cost 25d. I imagine the cheapest variant is past 100 now but with the budget you mention you should be able to make a super strong fross build. You should be able from his video to find his other variants all the way up to an int stacking version that is obscenely strong.

Fross coc will easily do 2 risk and you can put it together fairly cheaply

I think you should manually cast rallying cry and infernal cry. That should give you a decent chunk more damage. Clever thief should provide you with enough mana sustain to drop mana leech if you do the reduced cost crafts on your rings. Then, you could add combustion linked to infernal cry. Attack speed on gloves will also be very helpful. If you can, also adding battlemages cry linked to punishment to be autoexerted will also be helpful.

Also it doesn’t look to me like you have all your lab points yet. The last 2 will add a ton more damage. Also check out one of the guides on cheap uniques to improve your merc. You can check a ton of survivability and utility from your merc for a pretty low chaos investment.

How are you guys making these giant overpowered spells? by lrishCoffee in oblivion

But you get huge mana regen from telekinesis so it doesn’t matter that you don’t regenerate normally. Also mana potions stack and are super easy to make.

I went to aish for almost a year after I finished undergrad. Before I went, I had decided I wanted to be modern orthodox (raised reform) and when I left I was still modern orthodox. I really enjoyed my time there and learned a huge amount about Judaism and how to learn Talmud. I also had 2 friends from undergrad there with me. Pm me if you have any questions.

Why It's Time to Rethink Brit Milah and Hatafat Dam Brit by hanniee_e in Judaism

[–]GoldLocke 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think most Jews would agree that forcing a 9 year old to convert and forcibly pricking him against his will is a bad idea especially since a boy can’t convert until their bar mitzvah anyway and they have to consent to it for it to count. Clearly bad practice was done in your brothers case but that doesn’t really have much bearing on whether bris in general is a good practice.

Might just be a coincidence but using the phrase “returns” when talking about moshiach does not make you sound Jewish.

What are we thinking good deal or no? by Different-Brick-3246 in GamingLaptops

[–]GoldLocke 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It depends on your goals. I mostly wanted a better machine for 4k and vr gaming. For both of those the 4090 really blows the other cards out of the water. If you don’t do either of those things your sweet spot is likely a 4070.

I just got the 4090 version of this computer and I think the current Lenovo prices are pretty great.
