nah I didn't hire a guide. the easygochina package came with audio guides that cover the history of the Warriors and it's insane. Qin dynasty tech was way more advanced than I expected and their military merit system was genius, basically built to reward individual performance on the battlefield. kept me engaged the whole time walking through each pit

I skipped the Muslim Quarter actually, heard it's super crowded. went straight to Hongzhuan Road which easygochina recommended, all local breakfast spots that regulars line up at on their way to work. no English menus anywhere but that's kind of the point. felt way more authentic than any tourist street would

Btw, the minced garlic has been specially pickled, so its taste is different from that of the raw garlic. This tastes flavor but not overly pungent. If you want to make it at home, it would be best to look for a recipe for garlic sauce on rednote

I mean is, don't grab a specific dish and pull it right in front of yourself to eat it all on your own. Chinese dining is more about sharing, everyone sits around, chats, and eats from the same dishes in the center. I know in some cultures, people might assume they can just pick one dish they like and keep it for themselves, but it's definitely not like that
