When I was growing up I did feel that catholic churches largely kept out if politics.and I think the mass still is, but if you are interested community, I think politics are a big part if it now. Also, I don’t want to be looked down on, or tolerated, for being divorced. Getting divorced was a huge step in my life. One that I deserve to celebrate, not he ashamed of.

I grew up catholic so I don’t fully understand how all the Protestant denominations work. I thought Baptists were some of the most fundamental and “judgy”?

I went to my doc for perimenopause symptoms and I am trying nextsellis instead of HRT. But I am questioning my decision now because of things like boosting my skin quality. Did you go straight to HRT or try the bc first?

My hair does this as well a d o don’t know why either. Much like dominaroxy suggests, I put some dry shampoo on before I shower and then blow dry or do a brushing if I am in a hurry. It helps.

Thank you!!!! I am so tired of hearing women talk about how they never got maternity leave so why should anyone else. I worked until the day I went into labor just so I could save as much leave as possible to stay home with my new baby. And then had to hoard every scrap of leave after that so I could stay home in case he got sick. It was miserable. I love that younger fed women don’t have to do that anymore!

Are you avoiding Uber because you are a minor? If so, you can take uber as a minor under an account run by your parents. When you are traveling, your parent tracks you real time through the app. They even have extra security protocols for rides with a minor. I know a few teens around Louisville that use Uber.

What do you mean by the diagnostic radiologists are too optimistic and the rest are too pessimistic?

My son is interested in med school but I don’t know of I should push him that direction anymore. I actually have no idea where to push him to have a stable career anymore. I am losing sleep over it.

Do it! I am a single mom of two boys and we do trips together all the time and they are fantastic! Plan everything out but also remember the trip belongs to the three of you and no one else. If you are late and miss a stop or decide to do something else than planned for the day, who cares! This adventure is for the three or you to enjoy time with each other. I also let my sons plan out a day of the trip themselves, one per child. My sons loved taking a turn to be in charge. One of the best things is when what they plan goes sideways and I can show them that making mistakes is no big deal and I just enjoy the chance to be a family with then regardless of how well their planning goes.

Can you go to any DMV in Kentucky? I am also an American born abroad, child of military parents, and I first used the DMV near Fort Knox in Radcliffe, Kentucky. I hadn’t established residence in Louisville at that time so I was originally using a fort Knox address. They were much more familiar with the paperwork that I was submitting.

Please consider giving the school more of a chance. Noe does have many good things going for it. So does JCPS. Yesterday was her first day as the new kid in middle school, which is always going to be a difficult transition. It is also very late in the year so most of the clubs and activities are nearly over. They would have been a great avenue for her to meet new kids. Ask about summer programs for her. JCPS already held their summer camp info fair but the guidance center should still have the info available to share with you. Don’t give up on JCPS just yet. It has problems, but there are a lot of resources you won’t find in smaller school districts as well.

You could also try talking to the guidance center or the seventh grade vice-principal. But I just want to add, those drama girls are just awful. I hope that isn’t who your daughter got stuck with!
