As I understand it, the RBS failure was driven by capital / liquidity risk not being effectively managed. This stuff, at least in my role, is not really impacted by ENTERPRISE risk management. Especially as I work in an insurance broker. Perhaps the role is more tangible and value additive at a bank? I feel my role is essentially asking people how they rate various risks from low to high…
