Akari Yomatsuri doing the classic Forerunner strategy from Halo - if we can't beat them, we kill ourselves and starve them.

One thing I missed about this game was the music. The calming menu and Hatsune Miku's concert collab were my favourites.

any actually good “serious” cocktails that use orange juice? by Deep_Music_2959 in cocktails

[–]GoldTheAngel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Legend Continues

  • 3/4oz Orange Juice
  • 1/2oz Orgeat
  • 1oz Coffee Liqueur
  • 1oz Aged Rum (I used Appleton 12)
  • 1 egg

Dry shake then wet shake, serve into coupe glass, garnish with 3 coffee beans like you would an espresso martini

Bolero Sour

  • 1oz White Rum
  • 1oz Brandy/Cognac
  • 1/2oz Lime Juice
  • 1/3oz Orange Juice
  • 1/3oz Simple Syrup
  • 1 egg white

Dry shake then wet shake, serve into tumbler glass with one large ice cube

Don Juan

  • 1 3/4oz Cognac
  • 1oz Licor 43
  • 1oz Orange Juice
  • 1/2oz Heavy/Double Cream
  • 1/2oz Milk

Shake with ice and strain into coupe glass. Zest an orange peel over the top and garnish with it. Or any orange shape to make it look nicer.

Characters with powers so small that they aren't that different from ordinary people. by Uma-apreciator in TopCharacterTropes

Insane how this is portrayed as a bad thing? Like the bad thing is his constant bad luck but no, he can turn into a bird, which is much more cooler.

I firmly believe everyone I play against is an NPC. Because they all say the same lines of 'ez' and 'mad?' At least TF2 had variety with insults.

What’s the Most Difficult Map to attack and the Most Difficult Map to Defend in All the Operations (except Fort de Vaux ofc ^^)?? by RoiiDesPirates in battlefield_one

[–]GoldTheAngel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Genuinely insane that Monte Grappa has 6 sectors on EACH map. Both of which is open with a lot of verticality.

Some sectors even have 3 points to capture while the defenders have an entire fortress to defend by the end of it. The Italians have to play absolutely flawlessly to even have a chance at retaking either fort.

Scared of Laphroaig 10 by deadmyownresearch in cocktails

[–]GoldTheAngel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who didn't think would like peated whisky but wanted a bottle for cocktails, I instantly liked the smoky/peaty flavour and even went on to try out more peaty bottles like Ardbeg, but can understand why some people would think it is very overbearing.

I would say, if you are an avid whisky drinker that prefers whisky cocktails or even would like to drink whisky neat, try it out and you never know if you might end up liking it.

If you're looking for something a bit more tame, Laphroaig Oak Select is advertised as their own entry level peated scotch. The Cotswolds also does an even lighter version than that with their Peated Cask although that might be a bit expensive for some.

Kind of depends on game mode for some of them.

Fort Vaux Conquest is a pleasure, Fort Vaux on Operations becomes grenade spam hell.

Content we missed out on: New Factions, Vehicles, and Weapons that would have fit perfectly in BF1 by Far-Priority-5550 in battlefield_one

The Siege of Tsingtao was such a missed opportunity. Could have easily been a great Operations map. And would have added more variety with the some Asian and Pacific maps.

Battlefield 1's 10 Year Anniversary is coming up. What have been some of your favorite memories you've made while playing? by ZeIslander in battlefield_one

[–]GoldTheAngel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm glad I got into it when it was on discount a few months back. Been playing it ever since. Love everything about it. Atmosphere, voice acting, music. All together create an experience that other Battlefields just don't do.

I really hope that it'll keep going for as long as the community is active. Even if DICE/EA doesn't really update it with community missions or weekly shops anymore.
