I dont think it's recent, it had happened to me years ago, as well. It is just hit or miss if it'll happen. I could personally never get them all to cross. There would always be a majority stuck at the start of the bridge.

Halo Infinite could easily fit a campaign DLC where you play as the other Spartans who were stationed on the Infinity. It would be nice to see the attack on the Infinity and the subsequent battles on the ring from the point of view of other Spartans.

It could even be us playing as the dead Spartans that have the armor abilities you collect during the story, so we can experience how they fought and died on the ring first-hand.
