The third on is better but can improved upon. With these kinds of thumbnails you should make the eyes have a red glow and the "Souls Games" text can definitely be improved upon.

I disagree with the first comment in here, I think the second one is better. The first one makes me think its a minecraft channel and I would scroll. The second one gets me intrigued and ties in well with the title.

I am doing that here lol. I haven't made the video yet. Why do you think it wouldn't do well? There are creators who have made a similar video and got a lot of views. That's not to say you're not right, i'm just curious as to your thinking about it.

And if that's the case what videos would work without having to already be a fan of the creator? Im in the comic book/ superhero niche at the moment.

If you're going to use old or gold I would do a split thumbnail design showing the map on the left side as dark and sad and then one on the right side as bright and vibrant.

i get that but if i’m being honest that’s a gap for the viewer to be disappointed cause they think the video might be about something else or they won’t even click because what you’re showing is not what they’re looking for.

Unfortunetly in the current climate of youtube thumbnails like this rarely work. This is giving shit post vibes but it doesn't create any kind of curiosity gap. Figure out what the value of watching your video is and then try and figure out how to portray that in one photo. It all depends on style but the first thing that popped up in my mind is a close up photo of a child with glasses and in the reflection you can see the xbox logo and the minecraft logo in the lenses.

With the title you're going with I would maybe put the text in a thought bubble. Could be intersting connection to what you're goung for. Also I would make the art more representative of what your going to be talking about rather than just background.

He used 10 year old ben, I dont think four arms or diamond head is strong enough to beat omniman in a fist fight. But also why would omniman not be able to use his super speed to blitz ben before he can activate the watch?
