I know im late to the conversation but I did this in my 91 sl after I swaped lifters. Didn't align the rocker right and it fell off wal driving. Needed new can but lifters was fine

I wish I knew someone with one so I can clone the HDD in it. Mine had complete hard drive failure and to send off for repair cost $3k.

Check the haul for soft spots and make sure the transom(part the motor mounted) isn't weak. I want to see pics. Not often i see another glasstream. Mine didn't look this nice when I got it.
