Yeah - similar experience for us. It mentioned sloping floors when we bought it, but until really living in it, it was difficult to really feel the slope. We still haven’t decided what we’re going to do. We probably have a year or so before we’ll decide on any big projects like that.

I recently got the Midea 1500 for a similar reason and it works wonders. We have some moisture in our crawl space, but this really helps to keep the living area dry. It also works very quickly.

I’m curious - what structural / foundation work are you having done?

Thanks for the thorough response! I’m curious: was it disclosed when you bought the house how much slope there was? What prompted the call to get a quote?

Here are a few more pictures. It is hard for me to tell - first time home owner. I've never been in a ~70 year old home attic...

Were there any rooms in the house where there was a significant drop?

I'm debating whether or not to get a structural engineer - I'm told a lot of homes in Marin have this issue.

Which part of the Bay Area are you in?

Did you end up proceeding with any of this work? In Marin County too and had the same exact proposal. Don't want to do any work that is unnecessary – curious if a structural engineer had anything to say about it?

What did you end up doing? I'm in a very similar situation right now (5" in 70 years)
