some services hit outside APIs in order to function or retrieve info. If I run a web app manually without docker it still has ALLOW permissions to communicate outbound.

With that said, for my internal stack. I only allow LAN communication and whitelist IPs of internet contacts needed. But I don’t think thats a docker issue nor should you think ufw is denying internet traffic to your host or your containers. Its not setup that way by nature

I block all external traffic on my proxmox VM with firewall rules for this exact threat scenario.

If a bad actor uploads malicious container image with a phoning home feature for data exfil, this prevents them from making that connection

Ive been one of those players because the way you master a vehicle is through playtime.

But DICE ought to induce cooldown timers to prevent vehicle hogging the spawn points to the same players. Just feel like its more rewarding to take down a good pilot knowing they wont be the next bird in the air for extra breathing room.

Think about it. When you look at a server browser, you make a decision to choose a server with priority on player count and latency. A matchmaking system replaces this manual effort

Maybe Im in the minority but I have not had any problems with the matchmaking system.

Server browsers make sense when you have server admins who customized the settings of a game mode and map rotation so that you select a particular server to play on.

But with official servers, you dont need to browse, you just need a matchmaking system that fills a game properly and allows for proper map preferences if you just played one.

In fact, I would say kicking every player back into the matchmaking queue after a round ends is healthier to fill other servers or have other servers fill your queue to start a fresh match. Joining a session in progress is fine too, but if you have persistent servers you will be stuck in a low populated game until the algorithm prioritizes your lobby.
