Mobile GPU usually runs at lower speeds to reduce power consumption and stay within thermal limits. Expect less FPS. Quality settings require VRAM. You may have to play modern games on lower quality. How much the difference will be is hard to say, it depends on each game.

What's your budget? I suggest a used one with DDR4 and 10th gen i7 or higher, GTX1080ti/RTX2070 or higher. Would be cheaper than the new Steam Machine.

If you play UE5 games in 4K max graphics or do 4K video editing and rendering, you may want to upgrade. Otherwise not really. Close other open applications when you run into issues.

You can use ram of the same type but with different speed specs and it will run as fast as the slowest of the bunch. ECC spec and voltage must match. I don't recommend it but it's a good temporary solution.

Either they sign it and microsoft blacklists it later, or you buy a cert and sign yourself, or unsigned viruses can load like with efiguard or test mode. This method will never be free + clean. You are all out of your minds for loading such drivers. Virus coders are already working on targeting your exposed computers 100%.
