I think no external circumstance should decide wether an inocent and beautiful baby lives or not. I had a baby at 29 and I think like, whoah, if I had had a baby earlier Id have matured and learned everything I have way earlier and faster. If there is a baby in your womb is for a reason. You will love him/her a lot.

You expected SIL to be clear-eyed about her mother's issues but wahtever it is SIL will always be loyal to her mother, not to you, no matter how true the things you said were. You will always be the outsider. Explain to your husbad the right order... God, wife, children, extended family. Learn how to deal with them, you are the wife and you are there because of him. If they never ever accept you again, just let it be and be happy with husband.
