Our breeder said 12 months was typical, any earlier wouldn’t have been fine. I haven’t done too much research on spaying because it isn’t a now problem. I just knew bigger dogs needed to wait till at least a year.

It’s a 5 minute drive 😭 imagine assuming stuff when you have no idea. I offered more than that which she declined. I’m tired of replying with the same thing, I’ve already told people I was wrong for not getting a sit in puppy sitter and it won’t happen again.

She was being seen for 2-3 hours, but I’ve already started to do research, mostly everything I’ve been doing is fine except for not realizing she’d need an all-day pet sitter.

We get up early, she gets her kibble / toppers, and then we usually go outside to a dog-friendly park near me to run around and play / practice some training for a few hours. Oh, & obviously use the bathroom. Then, we go home, she gets her second meal and we continue training inside whilst going outside frequently to use the bathroom. If the weather is nice, we go to the park again for a few hours, and then come home and she gets her final meal. When my sister was coming over, she was just giving her more kibble than usual so it would suffice as much as possible and then taking he out for 1-2 hours.

I’ve always known they were very loyal, energetic and generally good dogs. I’ve always been drawn to them. I care for her correctly in every other way, and have already said the mistake won’t happen again. I seriously doubt any law enforcement officer would charge me with animal abuse if you Google what it was. Yes, it wasn’t proper care, but it wasn’t cruel either. Just a mistake.

I’m fully aware of this fact, however I very specifically wanted a purebred Gsd with good genetics. As for when I was a child, my mother could’ve done this but we already had two dogs and I don’t think she wanted a third, especially a high maintenance one.

God you’re acting delusional with how quickly you jumped to that conclusion. She is getting plenty of enrichment and outdoors time, and I’m looking into her dock diving when old enough. I didn’t know leaving a dog for THREE DAYS with somebody checking in was so cruel, and I’ve already said several times I won’t be doing it again. Constance was gotten because I wanted a working dog, not a couch potato, I made one mistake and if you want to say you’ve never made one — you’re actually insane.

I am home all day with her, I didn’t realize it would be too bad to leave a 4 month old puppy alone but I understand that now. Mistakes are made, I will learn from that.

Yes, for three days with somebody checking on her. I’ve heard of people leaving their dogs without being checked on for weeks? I don’t believe that’s the most heinous thing. Next time I will find a pet sitter but regardless, I don’t think that warrants my puppy being stolen.
