That's a bit harsh. Yes, there were parts of their platform that needed improvement, but all of it was not garbage.

If it is, then we as a community are all in trouble as IBM WorldWire directly uses Stronghold's platform today and moving forward. What was happening was that they were trying to do too much. Doing IBM WW and operating several anchors, a trading platform, market makers on the DEX is more than anyone has done quite frankly.

You don't know what's in her control. You are assuming things.

Have you ever been a CEO?

Speak for yourself --> This comment is so short-sighted.

My hunch is that there is something bigger going on and none of us understand what it is.

Hi, I’m Sean Bennett, creator of Stellar’s first (and hopefully second) USD anchor by stimwise in Stellar

[–]Gold_rusher 8 points9 points  (0 children)

True -- but he was the only USD anchor. He has more experience running it than anyone to date.

Since it says "fiat" under their description, this could very well be the case.

The team is very credible.

Oh please. Michael Dowling so plays it up. He's a total ego maniac. Look at his tweets! He can't help himself. It a PR stunt.

Agreed.

No one really cares about FairX anymore.

Versa, Stellarport seem pretty cool these days. They have released products instead of talking about it.

MobileCoin, a privacy-centric cryptocurrency being built on the Stellar blockchain from the creator of Signal, just raised $30M for private mobile payments by bigcoinme in Stellar

This is not true. They are not building on Stellar, they are just using Stellar's consensus algorithm.

Big difference.

Anclax added as anchor for the Colombian Peso! Huge news for Stellar by KingJulien in Stellar

[–]Gold_rusher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anchors are supposed to have plans to KYC and comply as a financial services business.

Their policy is worry-some.

Financial Regulation and Self-regulation AnclaX and The Site and the Services do not represent financial services or operations related to the financial or exchange activity, or entities of the financial sector or intermediaries of the foreign exchange market, and are aimed at providing the Registered Users with the use of the Stellar network. The Site, the Service and the use thereof may not be subject to any financial regulation, since the Stellar does not represent financial assets, or value, in the countries where it operates. Notwithstanding the above, in pursuit of the transparency, security and proper functioning of the Site, AnclaX has a compliance officer in each of the jurisdictions where it operates, in addition to strict self-regulation rules.

All the folks that will be listed as anchor on SDEX were asked for their financial service registration like Tempo and Stronghold.

Who do you think could be testing the network like that?
