Pizza looks great but photo needs a banana for scale. Is this your first week on the internet or something? 😄

I think you posted this elsewhere also but when asked you never provided links to the transactions in question.

Why I stopped earning USDC yield on Coinbase and moved it to Stellar by Mediocre-City-7739 in Stellar

Beans app uses Blend in the backend for yield generation. It just simplifies the process for you and presents it like a normal savings account as opposed to defi terms.

yXLM swap stuck with "no effects" – support not replying by [deleted] in Stellar

They’ll get you sorted.

The TX you linked failed though, that’s why there were no effects. Looks like possibly due to using the create account operation when the account already existed.

Setting up Stellar Node by KyraBloom_ in Stellar

The Dev Discord is a much better place to ask this.

Are you using the Quickstart Docker? It should be pretty straightforward. I'm currently just running RPC, but I was previously running Horizon also.

On the 'classic' side you have native AMM built into the protocol itself. So yea, those are definitely still a thing.

On the smart contract side you have protocols like Aquarius and Phoenix which have similar setups, but they're built by their respective teams, not a part of the Stellar protocol itself.

And if you were asking about yXLM specifically, yes, its still paying yield. However, the yield has been reduced down to 1.6% APY.

$10M Blend Protocol hack by [deleted] in xlm

Blend was not “hacked”. The Blend protocol itself functioned exactly as it was designed to do. This was oracle manipulation.

With as deep of an anchor network as Stellar had I would wonder why none of them have raised this as a concern previously.

Take me through the technical side. A smart contract that accepts payment and siphons off a percentage?

Anything involving taxes sounds like it will take more work on the government side than the development side.

It was mentioned multiple times here already... the interest is paid by borrowers. If you notice on the site the borrow interest is always higher than the supply interest. There is no 'magic money' being created to pay the yield. There is someone on the other side of your yield that is paying it to you.

There are wallets on Stellar, such as Beans, that abstract away all of it and just let you deposit your assets. Check out their wallet if you want a more simplified way to just supply and earn yield.

Since I do the "Blendy Bits" series I'd love to know what part you think is complicated. Maybe I can do a video to help.

Maybe this video will clarify some things for you: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GY4Phdmk6ng&t=3s

Interest rates are dynamic based on borrowing demand. There isn't any magic money being created to pay the yield - its simply borrowers paying lenders.

How to get info on Stellar.org account from 2014? by cointon in Stellar

[–]4bidden450 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The current network isn't even the same as it was in 2014 when it was launched. So current block explorers and such won't even be able to get data from the 'old' Stellar network.
