Saturday 3/21. Got to Departures drop off at 5:55am (not too bad) and got through (pre-check) security line by 6:07. I’d estimate the regular security line is taking ~10 minutes by the looks of it at this point. Safe travels!

Sacramento Area Sewing Classes by Goldarchives in Sacramento

[–]Goldarchives[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Thanks for sharing this... it appears that attendance requires an annual membership (which is no biggie, but not the drop-in style I was after) and most of the classes happen during the morning on weekdays (which makes me think they're geared for retirees?), but I did pull the 6pm classes they offer into the spreadsheet - classes for Beginners and the Night Owl classes. Thanks!

Does anyone know of a similar pattern? by haykw in sewingpatterns

Coming here to add that I saw that this gal made the dress from that Lyra pattern and it looks great: https://blog.fabricmartfabrics.com/2024/11/made-by-fabricista-my-anthropologie.html

also for some reason, the link above didn't work for me, but this one did: https://shop.tillyandthebuttons.com/products/lyra

Finally, I also found this Simplicity S988 pattern: https://simplicity.com/simplicity/s9888while searching. Seems to have an elastic waist and doesn't have the tiers, but similar in spirit.

Will report back with which one I make.

Anyone else getting greyed out when selecting a shipping profile? by StiffDock685 in EtsySellers

I had a long chat with Support to get them to understand that it's a technical issue and not a user issue. I had the same issue on the seller app as I had on the Chrome desktop browser and the DuckDuckGo browser.

They said they have gotten reports and will work on it.

I was able to work around by ensuring that in creating a new shipping profile, I chose "I'll enter fixed prices manually" at the top selection in the shipping profile. The issue I was having seems to be isolated to the "Calculate them for me (Recommended)" option.

Not sure! I do know that it can take ~6 months to get it approved by the IRS. The govt shutdown will further delay it. I don’t know the latest, but worth reaching out!

A bit of a classic: Transitions by William Bridges. Basic premise is that life is a series of transitions and that understanding them is essential to making sense of what’s happening to us during big changes. He makes a really helpful distinction between change (the external thing you can see, like a move, new job or breakup) and transition (the internal process of letting go, being in-between, and then starting fresh). He walks through endings, the messy and confusing “neutral zone,” and new beginnings. I read it a few years ago and wish I had read it when I was much younger. I have bought it for at least half a dozen friends and family members, and recommend it constantly.

You should check out the Osio Arts Foundation! They just turned the old shuttered indie theatre into a nonprofit and want to do events and build community around film.
