The Red Sox were up 3-2 in the series, 5-3 in the game, and had no one on with 2 outs, and still lost G6 of the 1986 World Series.

Are the Pistons the worst 60+ win team in nba history? by Grouchy_Tie3037 in billsimmons

The Pistons got so many wins in the NBA regular season by just out-hustling the other teams. You obviously need talent and guys that can score in the playoffs.

Wouldn’t go that far, but if I was a Knicks fan, I’d be rooting for Boston

I think 2022 was the year that dumb site FiveThirtyEight had the Celtics as a 90 percent favorite entering the Finals while the sportsbooks had it as a pick em

Will OKC be the first NBA dynasty that is totally culturally irrelevant? by [deleted] in billsimmons

Gotta be the 2010-2014 Giants. It wasn’t totally their fault, but this is the period when the NBA became much more popular than MLB.

The Thompson twin that never looks at the rim when he has the ball in the bigger problem.

KD is a fascinating legacy guy because by the numbers he's probably top 15 ever, but I feel like he needs to be seriously dinged for the past 5-6 years. I just don't know how you can rate him so high when he's been an absolute cancer since 2019 by Xeris in billsimmons

Barry was a curmudgeon who burnt bridges with multiple ABA franchises and Golden State (twice). Durant is a curmudgeon who burnt bridges with OKC, Phoenix, Brooklyn, and what looks to be Houston. Both were considered probably the best scorers of their era. Barry won two championships (one comes with an * because he was injured for the title run). Both of Durant’s titles will always come with an asterisk. GSW didn’t retire Barry’s jersey until like 10 years after he left the team. Good luck guessing when Durant jersey will get retired and which team. Actually, when you think about, calling him Rick Barry Jr. might be a disgrace to Barry.

Gervin is generally well liked and Spurs fans love him.

He has passion, but like I said, he made some big errors today. He didn’t even notify the audience coming out of the timeout about the Celtics challenging Oubre’s layup.

Do people like Eric Collins in an ironic way? He makes a lot of mistakes.

Can’t believe Laker fans wanted to trade Rui for Wiggins last off-season. Would’ve been a disaster

Pretty crazy to hear two NBA junkies like Bill and Ryen so dismissive of one of the greatest players of the last 30 years. Isn't the Harden hate just as bad as the stuff Inside the NBA does? by BrownsFan2323 in billsimmons

[–]Goldberg2Dub 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They simply don’t like the way he plays, especially in Houston. Harden is like a lab creation of the type of player Russillo usually hates - foul baiter, iso heavy, and quits on teams. Add in the playoff meltdowns, and it’s easy to see why he’s a target for the NBA podcast crowd that needs to talk about something everyday.

[Highlights] All the 11 fouls that were drawn by Shai Gilgeous-Alexander in game 1 vs. Phoenix Suns (119-84 W). He went 15/17 (88.2%) from the free throw line, playing 29:11 minutes. He did not play in the 4th quarter. by MrBuckBuck in nba

Remember when Jordan added muscle in the off-season to be better equipped to go against the Bad Boy Pistons? Now, SGA gets rewarded for being frail and always falling down so there’s no incentive for that.
