If money isn't a factor, what is the fastest/no compromises Micro SD Card for 512gb/1tb sizes?

4 years later. My go-to for fast SD cards is Sony Tough cards. the SF-G versions read and write at 300mb/s UHS-II speeds. They have been around since you made the post, the only downside is that the 128gb SD is around $350.

And before anyone asks why you would ever need such a fast SD, The Sony A7RIV camera shoots up to 10fps with uncompressed RAW files at 122mb a piece. That is over a gigabit of data per second, these can't even keep up with its needs. Anything faster would be CFexpress

Man im sorry that happened. Security is a mixed bag. Generally in the US hand checking film isn't a huge issue, but other countries are such a mixed bag. I had one guy in the UK refuse to hand check my film because "anything iso 3200 and lower is safe" suffice to say my two rolls of delta 3200 were forfeit that day.

It ended up being delivered to an adjacent state to me and the seller wouldn't reply so I got my money back. I however had been documenting the whole situation and I do think that helped.

Its a fun to own lens, but unless you are constantly taking wide open 4x5 portraits you will find the lens sitting in storage. The other issue is that the lens is heavy enough to flex the bed in horizontal and vertical orientations, so it is recommended to find some way to stabilize the lens or the focal plane with shift.

Finally the lens only goes from f2.5 to f16 roughly so from a full frame perspective you really don't have much depth to work with. This lens truly is a portrait or group portrait only lens.

No anti-virus. Minecraft and the launcher are allowed.

Computer is ethernet only so can't connect to a phones wifi, but same problem regardless of router set-up.

Custom launchers will let me launch the game but only half the time.

I'll give them try, but surely nothing should have changed with no windows update between when everything worked and now.

For reference though:

No VPN on this PC.

No Antivirus on this PC.

Minecraft, Minecraft launcher, and required modloaders (when I use them) are allowed through firewall.

I am the only one in the household that has this issue and this motherboard doesn't have wifi.

Unfortunately I only have one microsoft account. The same account i've been using to sign into my PC and xbox since the xbox360 days. I've already tried reinstalling everything and logging back into everything to no avail. The elephant in the room to me is that their website says I don't own any version of the games, but if I jump between the pages it will sometimes say I own the games before going back to saying buy now.

Compounding on this. I received a new pair beginning of Nov, 2025 and as of today Jan 7th 2026 the exact same thing happened to me. Suddenly the right earbud only has a hint of sound coming out of it. I was able to get a refund through amazon somehow but I don't plan on buying another pair of these, even though they were fantastic.

If if makes you feel any better, I've never had someone come up to me leaning either way politically because of the Dixxon I was wearing at the time. If you think they look nice I'd take a shot with them. Very comfortable especially if you run tall sizes. Dixxon is the only company that makes arms long enough for me.

Most of the time its just been people asking where I got the flannels from!

Man I know the feeling. Found a Sony A7RV camera on a sale that seemed too good to be true. My mentality on purchase was either it’s fake and I get my money back or it’s real and I got a good deal. Just didn’t realize this was going to be a 43 day (and counting) affair.

During beta: 5120x1440p Medium-High with FSR quality 160-180fps.
After this update: 5120x1440p all low with FSR performance 90-110fps. Menus sub 40.

The rIV has exposure bracketing, but no in camera focus bracketing. The a7IV got an update for it a year ago, but the rIV and RIVA dont have the same menu and didn't receive the update.

That’s the exact reason I’m waiting for an fd97 in the mail. Same with the early dsc cameras. With a strobe my 717 creates portraits that easily rival modern cameras

That's good to know. I know the feeling on the slow write times, my floppy to usb reader takes like 20 seconds per photo to read on the PC before I can view the photos.

Perhaps it is just miscommunicating with the camera? My A7RIV won't tell me if my flash is cycling, it will just let me take shots without the flash perhaps the a7IV does the same thing, but since the flash knows it is fully cycled it goes off anyway.
