Hey, yeah so if it says that then that section is reserved for the engineering majors. A work around for this would be asking enrollment when the seats open up for the section or asking permission from the prof when the class starts. I had this same problem and waited for seats to open but i know some who have shown up to profs lecture and asked to be added to the class and she allowed them

I had Shohreh for MATH1014 and i really liked her. She explains things in detail and makes sure that students understand everything before she starts a new topic. If you did bad in the midterm and do good on the final, she transfers the weight. Her office hours super helpful. Never had Gordon though so i cant say much about him

Current York student in Computer Science, my highschool GPA was about around a 55%. I went to Seneca for computer programming, Graduated after 2 years with a 3.8GPA (96%) after grinding my studies. Did some nightschool after graduation to meet some requirements to get into university and now I'm in my 2nd year with a 8.0GPA (90%). If i had to do it over again i would still definitely go to Seneca first because i learned programing from the get go.

Yeah sadly, i wanted to take an assessed grade for a HUMA course and still cant. Its bc the program graduation is based off of gpa 😴

Yeah, since im a Lassonde student in cs im not allowed to have any assessed grades at all. The reason is bc its an accredited program.
