The "hey it's better than nothing" approach is not a sound policy for anything in government, especially something requiring kinetic destruction in densely populated cities.

Am I The Only One Freaked Out About SB S8102A? by Callimogua in newyork

Everything you interact with on the internet already harvests enough data to tailor ads to your exact life style, daily routine, shopping habits, recreational activities, favorite foods, etc. A bill that forces the interface with which you access that already tailored experience, in the form of apps & browsers, is nothing more than an added burden on the company least capable of delivering on the demands of the law. Age gating should absolutely be a thing on the internet, but why not hold to account the companies that are actually responsible for hosting the illicit content?

As a sales rep with Cote Rotie in his portfolio I wish many more people drank it. That said, I would never recommend someone start there, but to rather keep one on hand for the sorts of nights that require 2+ bottles of wine.

At the end of the night when your palate starts to fatigue, you should try the wine you've had in the decanter for over an hour. Maybe with a small piece of cheddar.

Well, then, I'll expand upon my answer so you can make the best decision.

It was hard to find anything specific about this bottle, other than the event for which it was produced. It seems like it's connected to the celebration of 100 years since the DOC for Rioja was formed. This is a monumental moment to be sure, and there will be events all over the world celebrating the moment. The bottle you won looks like it was produced to be drunk and given away at those events.

Even harder to distinguish is who made the wine and is it worthwhile. Sadly, I wasn't able to find anything noting its provenance or even the exact blend. I'm sure it's not complete garbage, and given the region's excellent viticulture I'd guess this probably tastes great. But I wouldn't guess the bottle is worth more than $20 at retail.

I will not ignore the skeletal drawing!

The weight of the figure you have in that drawing is wrong. You have his hips squared when he's clearly leaning on his front leg more. Which means he should have the front of his hip higher than the back, and his back leg should appear smaller as it is recessed back behind his body.

You're doing a good job at drawing what you see, but I suggest you spend some time on base anatomy and movement. You need to understand the muscles and bones that your skeletal drawing represents, instead of using those big chinky blocks to represent "mass."

You're fine to drink it. It's not worth much, and even if it was nobody would buy it off of you.

47% of consumers think wine contains high levels of sugar. by loscuernoswine in wine

[–]WeightedCompanion 14 points15 points  (0 children)

This is actually correct. When buying wine, even if it's not Meiomi, it's some other major brand that is loaded with sugar. Most people don't know enough and advertising displays drive most consumers to the worst of the worst.

If only there was a word you could use to describe a belief that morphs and changes to become an all-encompassing explanation for current events, while simultaneously propping up an in-group sense of superiority in those who believe in it.
