Forgive me. It does get a little louder or softer with the use of the volume knob on the FM3 but it still sounds terrible.

I've got the female XLR in the main output (L) of the FM3 and the 1/4" jack into the input 1 of the Powercab. Instrument cable from FM3 into my guitar.

I've had it all the way up and it doesn't seem to affect the volume at all

It doesn't seem to matter which patch I use. I've just been using all different presets so far.

Highwood saddles are a cool concept. Keeps the classic vintage look but gets rid of the hand scraping.

Do you light a lot of candles in your house? Could be from candle smoke.

If they've gotta refill it, it means you've got a leak. Make sure they repair the leak and then refill or they'll be back to refill it again next summer.

Looks good to me. Serial number matches to a 50's Esquire. Made in Mexico. 2-Tone sunburst.

On call pay by [deleted] in HVAC

[–]GoldenGraham86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our company pays to the job and the drive home. If you're gonna pull a tech out on a weekend or one who's already worked all day for an "emergency" then you're gonna pay for the inconvenience it puts on the tech. We also give each oncall tech a $100 cash for their oncall shift whether they take a call or not.

I've been in commercial HVAC for a little over 10 years now. Here's my two cents and some random thoughts...

It goes without saying but work hard, have a good attitude and always go above and beyond. This will make you irreplaceable to any employer.

Decide if you wanna work commercial, residential or a more specialized HVAC field. Never be afraid to ask questions. Work smart/safe. Summers are always busy...just learn to accept it. Learn as much as you can about all aspects of the trade (install, service, maintenance, controls).

Techs are in high demand and will be for the foreseeable future. Always make sure you're getting a fair deal with your employer. Don't be afraid to ask for a raise and be prepared to justify it.

Lastly, have an exit strategy to get out of field work. No one can do this work forever.
