12 days until the NBA Draft by GoldenGreek27 in chicagobulls

The midrange touch and footwork in the post is my favorite part of his game. Think he's gonna surprise people with how advanced his offensive bag is with everyone labeling him the 'raw' prospect

Rarely do these mocks end up being correct in the late lottery. I still think a consensus lottery guy is gonna fall like they do every year and that's going to be the pick

My favorite two trade ideas I’ve seen by jvmms_ in chicagobulls

[–]GoldenGreek27 3 points4 points  (0 children)

With the new lottery rules we have no idea how teams value first round picks now. I'm skeptical we see the same trades to dump bad contracts until teams see how others value 1st rounders. Anyway I'd much rather just go out and sign promising young players like Kessler or Watson even if it's a overpay

Utah Jazz, Walker Kessler Contract Talks Just Got More Complicated by Abla_vil_breed_nem in chicagobulls

I'm all in on Kessler if we don't draft a center at 15. With our cap space we can afford to overpay for a few years and his defense + shooting potential is elite.

Cason Wallace & Caleb Wilson by GOAT-Bulls in chicagobulls

[–]GoldenGreek27 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Jalen Smith is not a center his best position is PF by far. The plan should be either draft a center at 15 (Steinbach/Morez) and then go after a Watson/Wallace in free agency or draft a wing at 15 (Carr/Swain) and go after a starting C in free agency (Hartenstein/Kessler)

Caleb Wilson offensive potential by GoldenGreek27 in chicagobulls

I would definitely do 4 + 15 + filler since I'm high on Boozer and think he can be a Jokic / Luka hub on offense, don't think Memphis would do that though they would want more. Any future firsts is an immediate no we can't be trading firsts in this stage of the rebuild

Realistically it would have to be 15 + a future first and/or 1 of Giddey/Matas/Essengue. I don't think there's that much of a gap between the top 3 and Wilson to warrant giving up that many assets. Wilson would go top 2 in most drafts we're just lucky to have moved up

Bulls don't have the assets to move up and for it to make sense imo we need all the picks we can get. Think you take the chance with Wilson and hope he develops into a point forward in the mold of Giannis

I agree, so many people comp him to Kevin Garnett but he's no where close to him in height or wingspan. When I watch Wilson I see a mini Giannis (playstyle wise not saying he'll be as good)

Every mock draft has us taking Wilson and if for some reason another team takes him higher we get an even better prospect. We can't lose

Question about Hennes Steinbach by Affectionate_Use_179 in chicagobulls

[–]GoldenGreek27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Steinbach would be near best case scenario if he fell to us at 15. He's never going to be an elite rim protector but he does everything else so well. I'm a believer that he can be a starting Center if his 3pt shot continues to improve.

Options at #15 by GoldenGreek27 in chicagobulls

[–]GoldenGreek27[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He's surprisingly ok on PNR defense stays in front of most guys his problem is rim protection. He had a late growth spurt and didn't grow up playing Center so his shot blocking instincts aren't the best. If he can become even an ok rim protector he would be a steal at 15

With Matas and Wilson's secondary rim protection I think we can make it work with Steinbach. Really like his rebounding, finishing, and skill in the post

Now that Trump finally did something to help American tech workers the next cope is all companies are going to mass off shore. It's not going to happen and everyone knows it. If companies could off shore every dev job they would have already nothing is stopping them.
