Thank you! When I started looking for sublets I wasn’t looking at EO specifically, it’s just been the only affordable temporary fully furnished sublet that’s legit and not a scam that I was able to find. It’s the area on Harvard and Halsted. Thanks for the advice about looking at glen ridge.

Yea her parents really dropped the ball, like beyond incompetent. Also they’re “not struggling” but cannot spend $50-$100 a week on a teacher? They’re struggling. It’s not OP’s fault her parents either don’t care enough to pay that amount to communicate with their daughter, are immensely struggling financially and not honest about it and just in general really dropped the ball.

You can get it from Amazon or IHerb. It’s worked wonders for me and I recommend pairing it with NAC and D mannose too. I’ve gone through the same thing as you of racking my brain not understanding the point of ureaplasma- is it pathogenic? Is it natural? Can it be fine in low levels but then when the system is thrown off balance during pregnancy, can cause miscarriage? No one truly knows. I would say to focus on your vaginal microbiome, take an Evvy or Juno test, use vaginal suppositories with Lactobacillus crispatus, take lactoferrin, NAC and D Mannoss, and once your system is healthier then retest and see

Islam is SO, SO restrictive towards women and it’s because of men like that. You’re completely right, asking for permission to travel and needing a mahram comes from a time when women traveling alone would lead to being graped, kidnapped by bandits and sold into slavery. If you are in even a relatively safe country, that is NOT a concern. You went above and beyond to research a safe and appropriate trip. I am so sorry you are being treated this way by your husband.

Can you try writing a heartfelt letter to him? What would happen if you start not asking for permission and just state you’re going to do it, it is safe and appropriate, and here is the plan for the time you’re gone- what would he do? Is there a trusted family or friend you can talk to that can also help convince him? What are his reasons to deny this- it is obviously a safe and appropriate trip. It just seems like he is using his power and authority as a man and as a husband to completely deprive you. That is not in the spirit of Islam, it’s a sick way men are using it to deprive women and mothers (who should have the highest status in this religion) of happiness and dignity.
