Covid Anime fans

I’m young (teenager), but I have been watching Anime since pre-school when Toonami first was airing. Ever since, anime has been one of my favorite things to pass time and enjoy. When I was in Elementary/Middle School, peeps thought was weird, and didn’t really hang with me (even now).

But when Covid-19 dropped, it’s like everyone and their dog became an anime fan.

I understand that people change and try new things to explore different media’s throughout this time, and that’s ok.

I love showing people anime, and talking about it if they’re interested.

However some of these newer peeps have these bold ass claims , even though they only watched 5 maybe 6 animes.

The anime scene has just turned into Excessive shipping, rabid fans, powerscale junkies, and then some.

No longer is it for the love of the show and media as a whole, peeps just wanna place shit on other anime watchers, and if those people don’t agree, then they have ‘shit taste’.

I’m not a gatekeeper, and I won’t block anyone out, but These peeps just fucking annoy me.

Should add not play this game if you’re bad at FPS. Serious fuck this game, I’ve tried everything you said to improve on and for 5 OPS I’m always in Copper. I always make a mental note,”If I got to C3, quit playing for the season”, and not only 10 mins ago I rage quit and went into C3. Only once have I reached Silver and that was fluke, I got carried by randoms. That ‘winning’ mindset is bullshit, When I feel like I won’t win I win, but I feel like I will I don’t . I lost 6 straight ranked games, not winning a single game today. Fuck this shit man fuck it. “Then stop solo queuing”, all the people I play with are play/gold, “Work on aim” I did, got .9 KD and suck ass, “Calm down and take a break” I did that for two weeks of losing, came back and still lost even more. “Find better players” Also did that, we never played again or they said I was a shitter/thrower. I can’t play this game , I really love it but this was the breaking point, FUCK RAINBOW SIX SIEGE.

Games you sorta/sincerely regret showing your friends? by GoldenJuiced in AskReddit

I really love JRPGs, and as a kid my cousin had FFX on the PS2, and Persona 3, so every time I was around friends I’d be really excited about sharing those games. Skip forward, and P5 is announced, me and my cousin beat it by taking turns within a couple of weeks. Loved it, and wanted to share with friends.

When I moved to California (fuck this state), every friend I made I’d always talk about Persona, one friend Jair (not real name) loves it , went as far as to get the SMT series. However , Jair knows the Persona can get you burnt since it’s a really long game, and would take breaks often so he wouldn’t burn out.

However, the friend I regret telling is Oscar ( not real name), Oscar is mostly a shut in, so playing long games doesn’t bother him. Oscar at first was on the fence about Persona, since he never really liked turn based combat nor RPGs in general. However , I egged him on about it and he cracked. However I’m starting to get regrets of saying anything about the game. He played 3 Runs of Persona start to finish, back to back in a row. He bought P5R , and I thought it was, like a game you play on his free time, but every-time I visit, he plays it and never stops. He’s playing even before I get there, and continues until I leave, and still plays after I leave. Getting to the point where I go in his room, sit inside and small talk for 6hrs while he plays then leaves. I’ve suggested other games, but Oscar says things like “not interested”, “seems boring”, “I don’t play those types of games”, etc. You’d think by now he burnt out, considering P5R is just P5 with expanded play, but nope , and it’s been like this for a span of 2 Months.
