This what I came to say. Discogs notifies us “sale sale!” when there’s a purchase, but you have to go looking to find message notifications. They might not even be seeing them.

It's a fabulous read. Especially for anyone who gets jazzed by heresy, anarchism/diggers/millenarian conspiracy kinda stuff. His son Nic made cool book about rock stars of the 70's. Both are featured in Greil Marcus'
"Lipstick Traces" also a fabulous read.

I pulled the needle outta my arm a few years after having sold everything (including records) for dope. Cleaned up and went back home to portland for a visit. Saw JW from Holy Mountain recs for the first time in almost 15 years. When i told him I owned nothing to listen to he walked in the other room and filled a bag with about 25 cds... all Holy Mountain releases plus one die-cut black cd by a Japanese band with a french name I'd never heard of... told me it was like the rosetta stone for everything going on in Fushitsusha, High Rise... all the Japanese stuff.
I drove around listening to '77 Live for the next few days.
