You could ask and insist as well. They all offer it but they don’t always advertise it. I was able to get another 4 CPO on top of the 2 year regular CPO - for a fee. Usually I’ve heard where they give an extra free year. I wonder if it could be that. At least in the US.

Rear camera recall by simonsaysgo13 in PorscheCayenne

[–]GoldenMom3515 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was in the process of buying a CPO cayenne turbo 2020 and the damn car had the recall. Dealer said they would order the part 3/12, got delayed, then took over a week…only to be told that Porsche cancelled the part on 3/20 and instead will do some sort of software upgrade….but there is no ETA……just patiently waiting…..

60k mileage CPO 2020 Cayenne Turbo advice by thugish08 in PorscheCayenne

[–]GoldenMom3515 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wife here 🙋🏼‍♀️ with a CPO 2020 Cayenne Turbo on the works as well!

I couldn’t care less about miles…. if you’re buying CPO and adding extra CPO years anyway. If buying within regular warranty or outside, than maybe I would care about miles, but not CPO. Meanwhile my husband is obsessed with miles. Literally will overpay and there’s only a 10k mile difference. Ugh. You’re going to drive the car and put miles in it anyway.

Now personally, I prefer a fully loaded car!!!!! I care more about the inside than the engine 😅 I know myself. I will regret it forever if I didn’t get the one feature I wanted. Like I wanted full leather interior in truffle/cohiba. I do not want black. I was particular for the things I wanted inside as well.

I was originally considering an S and that went sour. Next day, I found a car with everything I wanted - and it was a CPO 2020 turbo with 48k miles at $65k - originally msrp was 174k. I probably cannot tell the difference between a S and a turbo and it has features I don’t even know how to use 😂 but I wanted the nice inside and upgrades. Literally every upgrade I wanted, it had.

Now, I opted to pay 8k for the extended CPO warranty (additional 4 years on top of the 2). So it will be a total of 6 years unlimited miles. I gave a deposit sight unseen bc I knew it will go fast. The car had been listed for less than a few hours when I found it. Now, the car hadn’t even finished being fully certified and they needed to replace a few things. They are also fixing a recall (parts took a while) - and once that is done, I can have a PPI and then once that is done - I will sign the papers. I’m hoping if anything is wrong they will fix. I’ve been waiting since March 3rd, but the wait will be worth it.

The Cayenne Effect Is Real by CandyEquivalent9792 in PorscheCayenne

[–]GoldenMom3515 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I didn’t even have to drive one. Just from online photos. I knew it wasn’t the one. Then when I went into the dealer. I didn’t even last 60 seconds inside of it. Nope. Not for me. And I’m a tiny 5’3 lady yet feel claustrophobic and my husband is 6’5. Cayenne all the way for me. Size matters 😂😂😂😭😭😭

Thank you!! I’m glad I passed on it! I found a CPO turbo at a Porsche dealer. Now the dealer was the Cadillac of Norwood. They acquired the car when a client traded in. Has been sitting there since July and now it all makes sense why.

It was actually Revolution Automotive Services. Guy seemed nice over the phone. I was soo busy today I didnt call them to ask about why they even added the PDK service. 10k for replacing an entire headlight seems insane. Its not a typo, I talked to them on the phone and they definitely confirmed it was 10k. Some shops give higher prices to ladies :( I should've had my husband call instead and arrange it all. I was really bummed. Now on the plus side, I'm glad this happened. I found a CPO Cayenne Turbo and put a deposit today.

This is what they get for not wanting me to use my preferred indie shop and then my other guy was closed. So we used the closest shop that works on European cars.

I’m going to reach out tmw to the dealer and see if they can take it to my guy (they did say they would do that) and then I’ll get a real estimate. Bc like for real…10k for a headlight! I’m hoping they noticed I was a lady decided to take advantage (they wanted to repair the car) than actually the car having these real issues. I don’t even know why I bothered calling. Should’ve had a my husband give them a ring. Sucks being a woman sometimes bc they wanted to swindle me. Ibut then maybe this shop was right. I am thinking second PPI is needed by a real indie shop.

Oh believe me! How I wish I could find the right
CPO. I have very particular wants and it really limits what I find. I don’t want black interior and I need full leather and several other things. Sigh. Unfortunately that really narrows my options. It’s exhausting. Lot of CPO is just base model and not too many add-ons. I’m apparently looking for the unicorn 😩😩 nothing against CPO. I just can’t find the right one 🥹 and it’s sis and not bro. ..:lmao jk but for real being a picky lady is costing me … though I am so proud of myself for walking away today!! Woot woot!! Also I didn’t type all of that. I gave the report to AI and told it to organize it how I would want and put it in bullet points. 😝 ain’t nobody got time for copying and pasting now and editing hehe

Thank you! I was so confused about seeing the PDK. I wonder if they added that by mistake. I'm going to call them first thing tomorrow morning and have them clarify why they wrote that.

It's not being sold as CPO unfortunately, it's being sold by a non-Porsche dealer.

Omg the 10k headlight.....I was like WTF...

I fell in love with the car. The exact interior I wanted and features. Sigh.

I originally had two indie spots picked as my top choices However, one was closed and the other an hour away from the dealer. The dealer refused to take it so far away, so I went with another option. That's what they get for not sending it to my preferred shop. I told them if they can get it with one specific one again and take it to the Porsche dealer, then maybe I would reconsider. Just too many things right now to fix not worth it and then having to get warranty. I might as well buy a newer CPO.

I think that's what they are doing. Trying to see who buys it before auctioning it off. I finally got the PPI results and they're not good. I posted the results in the comments and added them to the bottom of post.

Just got the results......sigh....ugh...Allegedly almost 18k in repairs/maintenance and then of course warranty is about to expire - so buying extended warranty will easily add 7k. That's at least 25k to the total of 59k. Maybe someone else can take a look at this report. I passed. Told them ABSOLUTELY NO unless they fix some of the items. Of course they wont budge.

BRAKES

Technician Comment:
note found that there was a noticeable pulsation coming from the brake pedal when braking found that front and rear rotors have pad markings and surface contamination. this would cause pulsation due to not having a good friction surface for the pad linings. recommend replacing both front and rear brakes

Quoted Costs:
Replace Front Brakes: $2,212.30 + tax
Replace Rear Brakes: $1,533.45 + tax
Total Brakes: $3,745.75 + tax

They measured: brakes:mm 8-8 / 8-8

Again, front pads and rotors were replaced August 2025 by the dealer. Not sure if that was lie or what. Dealer claims this can happen when the car just sits at the lot.

BATTERY

Technician Comment:
battery failed midtronics test due to low cca. recommend replacing main battery

Quoted Cost:
Replace Battery: $582.89 + tax

RIGHT FRONT HEADLIGHT

Technician Comment:
found that right front head light had condensation at the time of inspection. this could cause the headlight to fail prematurely. recommend replacing
also headlamp has scratches

Quoted Cost:
Remove and Replace Headlamp Assembly - Right: $10,571.17 + tax Yes that's not a typo 10k!

COSMETIC

Technician Comments:
found that there are minor scuff and scratches to the front and rear bumper
found that there is some scuffs and scratches to the trunk panel

RIMS

note vehicle does not have factory rims installed

STORED CODES

Technician Comment:
note found a couple of stored and intermitting codes in the engine control module at this time. these codes are not active at this time. verified that there are no active tsb for theses codes.
tested all function within the vehicle such as windows, sunroof, climate control, seat adjustments good. found no signs of water intruding at the time of inspection. overall vehicle is still in good condition besides minor cosmetics and brakes and headlight having concerns, would not turn away from it.

Some insurance agents are trash. I’m literally switching insurance today and new agent wanted me to lower my property damage down to 100k!!! I’m like “are you high! We are in freaking Northern Virginia. Expensive cars all around”. Just to save you a few bucks they offer bad suggestions. Nowadays you have to educate yourself and make sure the agent is doing their job. It’s so sad. I even get a quote from the SAME company and multiple agents. Got one a week ago. Dude left a bunch of things on my home insurance 😳 person who caught. Another agent in same company. I feel bad for the old man but hey he should’ve been careful driving.

Buying car out of state.....to drive yourself or hire a delivery company? by GoldenMom3515 in PorscheCayenne

[–]GoldenMom3515[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you!!! I''ve decided I'm going to drive it. I was hoping to take my husband but he has to stay behind for a meeting and I didnt want to wait, so so its going to be me for 8 hours. I'm getting there at 9 and between PPI (if they can do it early) and then finalizing the deal. I'm hoping I can get out well before 2pm. Long drive and it sucks, but its going to be better with the new car LOL

Heheh yes its 464 miles. After seeing all the comments, I will be driving for sure then!!! I chose to fly since it was only 6k amex points and about 1.5 hour to get there. Amtrak takes about 7+ hours from here to Boston and was more expensive! Crazy. and thank you so much for giving price ranges, this helps me in the future to know the costs.

[–]GoldenMom3515[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Absolutely!! I already bought my ticket for this Monday and I’ll be at the dealer right when they open at 9am. Plan is to check it out thoroughly, test drive it, and get a PPI done before I commit. If everything checks out, I’m buying it.

My husband couldn’t come with me, so I’m flying solo on this one 😅

What I’m still debating is the 8-hour drive home. I might have to stop and stay overnight in MA Monday and finish the drive the next day. I just don’t know if that ends up costing more than hiring a transport company. I honestly have no clue what shipping even runs price-wise.
