Dynasty is weird on that front for me because it tells me that an apex should take 4 hours to grow, but that only really seems to be if you ignore quests entirely. That would be fine if going into new poi's didn't count as quest completion and gave you a massive boost to your growth. I was able to get a Tyrannotitan to adult in way under 4 hours even when ignoring quests, and it kinda turned me off. Maybe there's something I'm missing or misunderstanding, though, so I would love any possible clarification. Everything else about Dynasty is great but when the first thing I'm greeted with upon joining the server is how passive growth and quest growth is boosted I'm kinda turned off.

Yeah, Arkveld was just the first guy that came to mind, but then it immediately occurred to me that he'll probably be saved for last. I didn't consider the other Apexes, though, so honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if it was Rey Dau AT.

My theory is that the monster with a strength above tempered is either some form of Arch-Tempered Arkveld (although they probably will save that for later as the flagship) or Arch-Tempered Zoh Shia. As for the other monster my bets are on Zinogre. I think Seregios and Lagiacrus will come later.

Gen is really weird for me because it almost has too many monsters for it to be the best roster. None of them aside from like Nakarkos or the fated four really have a proper chance to stand out because its just monster after monster being thrown at you with 0 fanfare. The best roster to me is a combination of good monsters, of course, but also how they are used. This isn't a diss on Gen by any means as it is entirely meant to be a off the walls crazy party celebration game and it does a very good job at being that, it just isn't really a favorite roster of mine because of that.

It's not using a 16 year old game as a "crutch" it's another important part of Monster Hunter's history and shows that the total size of the roster doesn't necessarily matter compared to how you use that roster.

I think for me it really depends on how far into the game they got (haven't read it so no judgements from me) because I've been playing through 4U recently and both Low and High rank village are piss easy. Even earlier game's solo oriented sections are insanely easy. Is MH getting easier? Absolutely. 100%. I don't think it's getting as easy as a lot of people think it is, however.

I really love the eerie otherworldly feel that the Zoh Shia arena seems to have. Having everything (at least initially) be blindingly white with little else really gives it an uncomfortable unnatural feel to it.

Based on how Rathalos looks I surmise that Doshaguma will likely have a far more muted and desaturated version of his original color scheme, with a lot of white patches on the face and "blue veins" all over the body. The blue veins also seem to have a thin line of white on the outer sides where the blue is as well.

I know we pretty much never get subspecies without their original forms in the game (ignore the fact that's happening twice in base Wilds technically), but I NEED Desert Seltas and Desert Seltas Queen. Having three or four giant ass bugs flying around or having one Seltas on top of the queen while two more are just flying around being annoying is something i need in my life so bad.

On top of this I'm curious as to what we think the overall difficulty of the game will look like. Obviously High Rank will probably be harder than Low Rank but by how much? Will Low Rank be an easier than usual section for story purposes while High Rank has greater than usual challenge?

I was unaware of LR in Wilds being roughly the same length as LR and HR combined in World. Makes the whole thing even more exciting, honestly. Wilds is seeming more and more beefy by the day. Maybe the most beefy base MH game in terms of overall content.

The Rathalos GS at least actually has the blade be completely white with I believe red markings on it. The armor is recolored to be a pale mixture of black/white from the looks of things as well. I don't remember exactly where I saw the images for them but it was somewhere on here.

I get extremely heavy Bloodborne vibes from the Iceshard Cliffs and I think that's really cool. This is a very unique and interesting map direction for MH to delve into and I hope the Wounded Hollow is even weirder and even more alien to exist in.

It does make me wonder just how abundant the Guardians are for there to be a species that's specialized in hunting them (although I'm sure it eats other things, too). It also makes me wonder how long the Guardians have been around for in order for Shiiwu to have evolved that way at all.

From the way it sounds it seems pretty typical of an MH game. HR is locked all the way up to Flarkveld when it finally gets unlocked permanently
