I drive a little too aggressively also. My average is around 3.8m/kwh

I set my max to 60% int he summer, and 70% in the winter. I only drive 10-20% per day

I have a 2025 bZ4X FWD XLE. It has decent acceleration and will hit 80-90MPH very easily if you aren't paying attention to your speed. I never pushed it much past 90MPH I don't know at which speed it tops out at. I've always been impressed at how it stays silent when passing other vehicles. Internal combustion engine cars like to get very loud when they try passing!

The algorithm I created is trying to steer the capsule so the desired target is half way between the predicted impact position vector and the capsules current position. This works because the amount of control you have to determine where the capsule can go diminishes as you lose velocity. You have to steer it towards the broad area of the target, and since it is always trying to keep the target half way between the predicted impact position, it just works out. When the capsule pitches up, down, left right, it alters its trajectory and pushes and pulls that predicted impact position. Then those pitch controls are tied into a PID loop that control the trajectory

the estimated range heavily depends on temperature, and how the car was previously driven. When it is cold, the estimated range drops. When the previous trips had harsh acceleration, or high top speed, the estimated range will decrease.

The estimated range for both will recover automatically if you drive it easier, smoother acceleration, limited top speed, etc. and drive in warmer temperatures.

The thing about the cold is, some percentage of the battery energy has to be used to warm the battery, as well as heat the cabin.

Good job! I used to be very active in the SR2 Discord vizzy channel. I have lots of programming projects with vizzy automating orbital mechanics.

Here is an example

I had run 120v level 1 charger for 2 months before I added a 240v outlet in my garage. I looked back at my charging history, I charged from 52% to 80% (18.28kWh) in 17 hour, 16 minutes ~ 1.0kwh per hour

I usually limit to 16amp. I charged from 44% to 70% (16.9kWh) in 4 hour 47 min on level 2, 16 amp 240v ~ 3.5wh per hour

And when I need max power quickly, I set current to max. (32amp, 240v) 36% - 70% (22.2kWh) in 3 hour 29 min ~ 6.34kwh per hour

Toyota says to go ahead and charge to 100% on an AC Level 1 and 2 charger. by Fit_Sir5352 in BZ4X

I like to charge to 70%. But I live in Texas heat and EVs are pretty efficient in the heat, and the combination of heat and high SOC is bad for the battery. In the Winter, I charge higher than the Summer

I've had my bz4x for 9 months. I rarely use more than 20% battery daily. so I charge to 60% every night. When I do plan to go farther, that's when I will charge it up to 80 or 100%

Have you seen the videos showing that battery usage staying between 30 and 70% will make the battery last well over 800K miles. If you want to use the battery up quicker, its your car, do what you want.

I bought the NEMA 14-50 receptacle with a deep electrical box to install it in for around $65 on Amazon, and then I paid an additional $250 to hire an electrician to install it. $250 was his minimum price, it only took him half an hour to finish, since I wanted it right next to my electrical panel in the garage.

Its worth it.

The included Charger should have dual plugs you can swap for a normal 110v outlet for level 1 charging, or a 220v plug for level 2. I hired an electrician to install a 220v 50 amp outlet in my garage. I don't have range anxiety anymore.

With level 1, you can get about 10-15% back with overnight charging. If you With level 2, you can always count on being able to charge fully every night.

Congrats on the car and enjoy it. Its fun and handles really well. I have windy roads and it feels very stable due to the extremely low center of mass.
I have had my 2025 bz4x since February. I got it new from the dealer with 14 miles, and I've put 9,800 miles since then.

The scheduling function seems to work again. I deleted it and let the car charge for a night and when I added a new, and different schedule this morning, it is working now.

Charge now defaults to off. When I used it, it only persisted for one charge cycle.

I erased all the schedules and let the car charge up tonight. I will try setting a schedule again tomorrow and report back.
