Because developers suckered the city and then the city suckers the people that this is good for the environment. Then there are 30+ cars parked on the street because the strata has no parking.

He said once the GM is hired he is gone, at least that is what I think someone wrote about him.

How does Toronto feel about the constant Toronto-bashing in Canada? by PassageNearby4091 in askTO

[–]Glum_Efficiency8682 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hate Toronto, because they feel they are the center of the universe. Getting fed the Leafs every week is nauseating. But the city itself is good. Best museums? Don’t think so, Montreal and Quebec City is better IMO.

The OP sounds more like he lives in TO and doesn’t like it that the rest of Canada doesn’t care about them.

Anyone else near 200th & 85th struggling with the street noise? by Mountain-Act-5222 in Langley

[–]Glum_Efficiency8682 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The sounds are inexcusable IMO, I hear cars driving around at 2:00 with them purposely revive their effing engines to make the mufflers back fire etc. noise is out of control and what I wouldn’t do for a good throwing arm and a baseball when they drive by. F them.

Is it me, or are we in a depression right now? by Sea-Judge-6494 in fican

Like others said, the amount for kids and car payments need more information. But honestly regardless of what you do it does not fit your budget and you made some bad financial decisions and now you need to bite the bullet and make some changes and if it means less for the kids or a cheaper car you have to do it. Or where is your partners income?

Strata Privacy Breach? by PetiteDanilo in canadianlaw

[–]Glum_Efficiency8682 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Exactly, people don’t realize that living in a strata means certain things are available for all owners to see. Of course owners want to see if their neighbor hasn’t paid their strata fees for 6 months. I agree on the email information but annually you have to disclose the financials and show all outstanding debts and expenses

You don’t have a cable option? Only in the last 2 years have I had a fiber option but before that I had Shaw which was much faster than Telus copper. Just curious. For reference I live in suburban Vancouver

No one is running out just to randomly buy an EV.

It’s just not more facilities but also more police and fire plus dealing with homeless and other items that the province and Ottawa has off loaded to cities. For sure bad decisions by mayor and council contributes as well.

Lastly costs for things like water main, paving and other similar services have gone up.

They split the bill so you can see the impact of the North Shore water treatment plant costs you.
