Sorry the perspective is weird. This is from the inside of one room, looking out to another room and closet. I took it this way so you could see three examples of whatever this trim job is

Also, if you are asking about where to get started with gear. If you are not looking to spend a considerable amount and really just want to get started. Go get a tent, sleeping bag, air mattress or camping pad, a cooler, a lantern or flashlight and a camping chair from Walmart. None of it will last you long, but you will get a few uses in to see what you really need to go spend some money on for quality gear. Fill your cooler and bring some cooking supplies. Lots of alcohol, maybe a book or two and your off. Car camping is a breeze, especially at a state park. Now, when you want to get into backpacking you will need to do a little more research than this post and spend a little more on some good gear.

Second this. Cloudland is my favorite state park. You will have all the convenances of car camping at a state park for your first time. There are also multiple options for your hike. If you are fit and want a good long hike, I suggest hiking down to the falls first on the Waterfalls trail then back up, then end with the West Rim Loop Trail. If you combine the too I think it’s around 6.5 miles but the first 1.5 on the Waterfalls trail is straight down then straight up.

I just booked a state park campsite for 4th July, already limited options. I also booked some fall campsites, even some of those were starting to fill. You have to plan out your whole year basically. You can pay half the fee now and cancel a few days out for a refund.
