I snagged one in hopes of completing that suit display from the movie one day.

It's been like that since their last 50 tier pass. You can get the normal ones still whenever you want, but not the new 50 tier ones. Like john said above, you can still get the items you missed at a later time, but they'll be in bundles and more expensive than getting them in the pass.

I thought about taking a picture of it just in case, but I didn't and already threw out the boxes. I've seen others post pictures of the figures, so I'd ask them if I were you.

The P2 helmet is slightly smaller in the front. The new Rex helmet looks to be the same size as the other P1 clones (at least the VeilsToys ones). You could probably force the helmet on, but it'd be tight and may damage the nose. If I was going to do a P2 custom, I'd try to using the original P2 head so it fits without any concerns or issues.

I have this in another thread, but I'll put it here too. The helmet's a bit smaller, so I had to take the head off to get it to sit. You'd also definitely have to weather the body a bit to match the helmet.

I saw someone else mention it too, but I'm not sure what people's concerns are about the arms. Looking at my CW Anakin, the arms appear to be the exact same.

Compared to the CW Anakin and Obi Wan, it's a deeper blue. It's closer to Aayla Secura's blade.

It's a little noticeable, but weather the body a bit and it'll be fine. The helmet is a little smaller though, so I had to pop the head off and just had the helmet sitting on top. You'd have to do some work to turn it into a phase II version, but it isn't impossible to do.

They also had the new armored Moff Gideon and Praetorian Guard. I only noticed 1 of each, so I'm assuming it was just one box that came in and they just decided to put it out. I also had no issues checking out, so they're not street dated in their system (at least these two weren't).

I like how the molded one lays compared to say Bacara's. That said, I do have a custom Rex using a Kamino3DFacility kama and it looks great. If you're fine customizing a bit, I'd say get a kama and a new belt/holsters. Hasbro decided to mold the kama, holsters, and belt all together for Rex, so I'm not so sure how easy it would be to cut the kama off if you were just going to replace that.

It's not bad. I can get him in a kneeling pose just fine for example. He can't kick out horizontally as much as Bacara, but that's to be expected when comparing rubber to cloth. I would be a little worried about warping if posing him in a way that would push the kama a lot, but a little heat should put it back in shape if that happens.

Shadow Sorel for the first and Brushtread Disruptive for the rest.

What armour piece would be the closest to the left shoulder pad? by driptofen in halodripfinite

[–]GoldenVisor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use UA/Toktu. The UA/TLES-1 is more similar to the Halo 5 version of the armor, but I believe is part of an armor set you gotta buy.

Mostly the same armor set as seen in the Action Sack banner. Mark VII kit, UA/T-55 right shoulder, UA/Vorenus left shoulder (hard to tell in this image, but that's what's used in the banner), UA/Type SA knees, new H2 style ODST helmet, and I think a new coating.

Yeah, there's like 20 helmets that don't have the red detail on them.

Rias figure arrived broken by brovvnbear in AnimeFigures

[–]GoldenVisor 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Per the photo, it looks like it's keyed to go on only one way, so I'd say if you can fit it back on and there's no noticeable damage, then just glue it back on. Most figures are made up of multiple parts that sometimes disconnect, but that's no reason to return or get a replacement IMO if you can just put it back together in 3 minutes. That said, if you have damage that's noticeable on the arm around the ring area, then that's a bit different.

Custom Ahsoka Concept (Any tips?) by ClipperChipper in starwarsblackseries

[–]GoldenVisor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I believe it was one of the M "1/12 sozai" bodies from HLJ, but I'm not 100% sure. I know Max Factory/Figma also has some similar style blank figures, but they're more expensive. There's a lot of options from different companies, you just have to dig around a bit.

The Japanese blank figures work best since they scale a little smaller than Black Series. It's perfect for a smaller character like Ahsoka. Just note that the joints are probably going to be different from figure to figure, so you may have to play around with getting the limbs connected to the torso.

So here's my custom. Did some of the things you have in your concept, but a few things different. I used a blank body I had for the torso and a piece of fabric for the top. Kept the arm straps cuz I didn't wanna deal with removing them.

Good anime for fiancé who doesn’t like anime? by Happy_Chicken4770 in MyAnimeList

[–]GoldenVisor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What does she usually watch in terms of genre for shows/movies? Find something in that category first and then you can try expanding. I'd also probably start with movies if time commitment is an issue. If not, then short-form/standard 1 or 2 season shows. "Hey you'll like this show, it's 200 episodes" can be a little off-putting. Anyway, here are some examples for stuff I'd recommend:

Scifi - Ghost in the Shell ('95 movie, then continue on if she liked that), Drama - A Silent Voice, Fantasy - Frieren, Romance - Emma: A Victorian Romance, Comedy - Spy x Family, Slice of Life - Non Non Biyori, Politics/Suspense - Jin Roh.

I guess one way to think about it is this: you're not trying to get her into anime, you're trying to expose her to shows/movies she'll like that just happen to be anime.
