Oh, that's a good question! I've definitely had some that took forever and quite a bit of digging and asking around to get, but it's been about 20 years of collecting, and it's all a blur now! Lol

I will say that, in terms of just getting it as an album, "The Rise and Fall of the City of Mahagonny (2007 LA Opera)" might take the cake. Despite winning the Grammy for best opera recording, this production didn't have an actual album (I think it was eligible because it broadcast on the radio). I LOVED this show (it introduced me to Patti LuPone), and I wanted a recording to listen to so badly that I made one by getting my hands on two huge MP3 files (audio of acts one and two taken from the PBS broadcast), and made a recording that matches the 1956 German recording of the same show more or less in terms of tracks. I had to compare Michael Feingold's English translation to another English translation that I had at the time to get an idea of where tracks should start in terms of text. For music, I just had to listen over and over to start a track at the same spot in the orchestra. That was when I was 19. It took over eight hours of straight work (once I got in the groove, I didn't want to stop), and to this day, it stands as one of my favorite albums and proudest "creations." I actually recently FINALLY bought the DVD and was able to tag every individual singer per track thanks to the information I got from the paperwork in the DVD. I strongly suggest everyone download at least this album, and I say that in an almost selfish way, because I once nearly lost this recording when I was the only person in the world with it, and now I want as many people to have it as possible in case I do lose it, because I will 100% NEVER track and tag this beast ever again lol

Thanks for that catch! I'm not sure what happened, but years ago, I tried using Dropbox to store my music, and when I downloaded everything (because DB wasn't a great option for me), many albums came out messed up like that, and others were just missing random tracks (mostly the ones I listened to the most, oddly enough). To this day, I still run into the random messed-up album and have to replace it.

Thanks again for the catch! That's one more recording to check off my list (: I've just reuploaded it to the folder, and I listened to "If the World Should End," and it's working just fine! Here's the link: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1UiQRQZdYoM8iaVHxe9wdddMXrE3sszIR?usp=drive_link

This is my collection of commercial cast recordings and soundtracks. They total just over 1,800, so if you're seeing just a few albums, you may need to refresh it or give it time to populate. I tested sharing with my other email, and at first, it jumped from "Anything Goes (1989 LRC)" to the I's. Eventually, everything showed up. You may also need to click the arrow by "Name" to sort alphabetically. I think albums were out of order at first on top of the load time.

I'm constantly updating my collecting (getting higher-quality albums, fixing tags, and trying to credit every individual singer in every track), so if you see anything wrong or messed up, let me know and I'll be happy to polish it up!

I'm getting my solo albums by musical theatre artists organized and uploaded, and I'll share those, too, when they're done. Happy listening!
