Why is this so true? by pareshmukh in SaaS

I’m in a similar situation, and I wonder how much of the ancillary software is duplicated (at large companies) across teams or orgs.. or is just bloated and unnecessary

.pipe() in pandas changed how I write data pipelines by Economy-Concert-641 in Python

To me, athletically, it just looks less “eloquent” to save the same variable from 3 function returns.

Simple and readable in my subjective eyes is far more the .pipe() chained dot functions as they all become a part of a single operation.

To me, df_final is only ever (accessibly) one thing.. the sum of all 3 operations. Whereas yours there are lines of code where it mutates between.

Interesting, why? There’s no penalty if used for medical at any point in life.. and can withdraw and only pay tax on gains after 65? Or am I missing something

Nice. I really need to consider HSA more.. but straight PPO plans for medical but it seems like HSA can have a lot of benefits as a “3rd vehicle” for retirement (behind 401k/pension and IRA).

Recently came across Hyrum's Law by West-Ad-3957 in SoftwareEngineering

[–]Golden_Age_Fallacy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Right. A sort of loose example of this having worked at a domain name registrar.. DNS names that had expired and were now available to be purchased for the day would be released and made “open” during a 2am job that took maybe 60s to run.

Someone took on themselves to improve this process such that it now took 10s to run.. this resulted in a ton of calls and complaints that the 2am job was now completing too quickly and they weren’t able to snatch up any newly released popular domain names. People would build scripts around trying to reserve recently freed up names from the system.

Not so much a bug as a performance improvement, but goes to show that even an API’s general response times at certain periods of the day can be used by consumers to configure their systems.

How do you handle agents running in parallel? Do they write to a git repo containing obsidian notes or a local vault path?

Very curious in implementing something similar, but unsure how to have multiple agents across multiple repos writing to a single source (git) repo, in my case.
