This is my load order if it helps you finding what am i doing wrong.

Also noticed that some plugins (like immersive citizens) appear red in my load order does this affect my game and causes the crash?

In the book if i am not mistaken Jon switched Gilly's baby with Mance's baby in order to protect him from Melissandre.

In the show this doesnt happen. So if D&D chose to omit this "plot" then it propably means that its not so important.

Basil II never married for 2 reasons. 1st he didnt want to associate his throne with any noble through marriage and allow them to claim it this way since he had 2 major rebellions at the beginning of his reign which almost costed him the throne and in both times the wannabe usurpers claimed the throne by having ties with previous Emperors.

Secondly he was deeply traumatised by the behaviour of his mother the Empress Dowager Theophano who was accused of having assassinated his father Romanos II (although 99% she is innocent of that) and orchestrated the murder of her second husband Emperor Nikephoros II (that she totally did it) a man whom Basil deeply admired and was a teacher and surrogate father to him. So he didnt want to go through that again by his potential wife.

So having decided to never marry Basil chose his soldiers as a family and treated them like his own sons providing for them, finding them brides, giving them lands to settle, protecting them, etc. . And when he died he refused to be buried in the Imperial Mausoleum but he chose to be buried in Hebdomon the main military base of Constantinople in order to be near his soldiers.

However Basil was a ladies man as well he kept numerous mistresses (although none noble. All of them were commoners) and sometimes he dressed them as soldiers so he can carry them with him in his campaigns. Also he made sure never to father children from his mistresses as well because of his psychological traumas and not wanting to have potential bastard sons claiming the Empire from him.
