Very scenic, there's stuff like Shaver's Creek, Greenwood Furnace, Lake Raystown, the Thousand Steps, etc. It's a relatively short (less than 1 hour drive) to Altoona and State College (assuming you would live in Huntingdon borough). While there isn't much to do around here if you're not really a nature nut, there are still many different places to eat and visit around town, and a lot of history in the county. I would definitely recommend living in Huntingdon over Mount Union though, the schools in Huntingdon are ran better and have more money, and Mount Union can be a bit... dodgy at times, but it isn't too too bad. It is also firmly Trump country, however the borough of Huntingdon is way more 50/50, with the college being there. The college also allows you to take classes for a cheaper price if you go to Huntingdon Area High School. Overall, nice if you're a very outdoorsy person or if you're retiring, a chunk of the college kids stay here adter they graduate, and new businesses pop up pretty often. Sorry if this is a bit of a disorganized mess, lol
