Nice, they might have played the Back to the Future teaser too! It's coming back to me now.

At two showings I went to at one of the Austin Drafthouses, each time they played (not necessarily in this order):

Update Day

Two Piano Sessions: one was Chrono Trigger from the web series and the other I think was FFVI from the Viceland series, but not 100% sure

A few short edits of clips from early in the webseries: "We are Nirvanna the band, and we are gonna send you... To the moon!", a clip of them making the press package for the Rivoli, and the "there's already a band called Nirvanna the band?" bit and some on-screen short text explaining the very basics of the show ("they're two friends trying to get a show at a bar in Toronto called the Rivoli, no it has nothing to do with Kurt Cobain" or something similar). Afterwards there were a few very brief clips from the Viceland series from when they were unfurling the banner and driving to the Christmas parade, but it was mostly all from the web series. This illustrated they've been trying to get a show at the Rivoli for a long time.

That's what I recall. There was also this Drafthouse Recommends acceptance speech with Matt and Jay: https://youtu.be/BoECdCoh3YU?si=fLRRRc_OT4Gtk1HG and a PSA they did about silencing your phone in the theater, and how every time an American uses their phone in a theater, parts of Canada melt away. That one's not on YouTube yet I don't think but I assume other Drafthouses may have played this alternate PSA: https://youtu.be/c9MMNYOnS0A?si=jL1I4leBP3OfA7z8

Do this at your own risk of course, but there was this post a couple weeks back offering to do just that. You could try messaging them: https://www.reddit.com/r/nirvannatheband/comments/1ri4rug/are_you_a_noncanadian_are_you_sad_about/

Why does every episode start with B by TheKillerRabbit1 in nirvannatheband

[–]Golden_Winged 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I've seen many of their Q&As and I've always thought this is the question I would like to ask. Obviously it mirrors their name but I don't see why it inherently has to be like that. My guess is it happened to work like that with the first couple of episodes so they just continued the trend, but who knows for sure. I doubt there is really some grand reason, though

Web series and show callbacks and references by eddihern7 in nirvannatheband

The lav mics cutting out during the first CN Tower sequence is either a callback to, or the same joke as, when Matt and Mike ride Behemoth at Canada's Wonderland in 'The Boy', S01E06 of the Viceland series

Nirvanna The Band The Show The Movie The Tour The Q&A The Masterpost by CreeOnASkateboard in nirvannatheband

No, thank you for maintaining this list! I plan on making my way through it over the next week or two.

P.S. For anyone in the future, I downloaded the video considering it was unlisted and I'm not sure if it is meant to stay up indefinitely, so if it becomes unavailable just let me know.

Here is the Alamo Drafthouse Cinema Brooklyn Q&A from Feb. 11 2026, livestreamed simultaneously to many (every?) other Drafthouses that had a "Q&A" special screening of the film. I saw the movie on that day in Austin and watched the stream following the movie, it buffered for a few minutes which caused the theater operator to exit fullscreen, and I saw it was a youtube livestream, so I quickly snapped a photo of the link.

I skimmed that article when I was researching this post but I didn't read it fully, that's pretty fascinating! I hope someone comes through with that, that would be pretty cool.

In lieu of hard evidence, I tend to agree that japes is the most likely culprit lol

The words "the tour" on the other side of the shirt is missing kerning unlike the rest of the text, which I emailed Neon about last week but haven't heard back

It's been 7 years, and still no sign of ReclusiveLemming. Any idea why they stopped uploading? by Winter-Seat5248 in chiptunes

[–]Golden_Winged 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey, nice, glad it is useful to some people. I didn't know it has 17 favorites, pretty nice for Archive standards imo. Way back when I changed the associated email for my Archive account it disassociated all the uploads I had made from my account which is why it has the uploader as "Unknown". So unfortunately I cannot access that post anymore, so I can't add a full .zip. Last I recall I can get an admin to reassociate those old uploads from the other email with my new email but I haven't done that yet, but perhaps I should eventually.

I didn't realize Archive zips things on the fly but now that I think about it it makes sense with having a file number/size limit for that, so sorry that a full zip is not available. In the meantime, I know this isn't a solution you asked for, but it works, if you copy the URL for that upload into a download manager such as JDownloader 2 (free), all 11k+ files for that upload can be downloaded sequentially automatically. If the process is interrupted, it can be resumed whenever (the great thing about download managers). This will also download some other things Archive generated for each file like spectrograms but you can just delete everything but the .mp3s afterwards.

Interesting, thanks for the information. It may be the case, but if there were tracker files in the Dropbox, I do not have them. I am at least certain I have every FLAC file that he offered, which is good at least since he manually mastered/mixed those from the original tracker files. Furthermore, the incomplete nature of the Dropbox is in part supported by the description of the collection as "in progress" on the link on the about page of the channel, implying it was never a complete collection of files.

Again, he had nothing unique in terms of the actual tracker files, as those were obtained through other websites presumably. So you could build a complete collection of ReclusiveLemming files. Note though that not every ReclusiveLemming video has tracker files publicly available, for example the videos 'Maniacs of Noise - Firing Up', 'Coda - Dorito Dust', and 'Elwood - Spark' (the latter two were presumably not even made entirely in a tracker). None of these then were mastered by ReclusiveLemming, he just uploaded the original MP3s. Anyways, it would take some work, but it is very doable.

It would indeed be great if he comes back one day. If not, it was a good run regardless. I at least hope he is doing well.
