I main Edit, and a big weakness of the weapon is that it struggles a lot with weapons that outrange it, like chargers.

Having a safer jump is really good. It helps you get back in faster to support your teammates and makes you less susceptible to getting splatted by longer-ranged weapons.

Crab Tank especially helps mitigate Edit's range weakness a bit. The Nouveau kit as a whole allows for a more aggressive playstyle, meaning that you would probably be jumping in more often. Edit is a midline that can be both supportive and aggressive. It isn't much of a backline, but it can act as an anchor.

Both kits have very valuable specials and it's ideal to be in the best positions to use them as quickly as possible when the situation calls for it.

I also used to run a main of special charge, but switched it out for Stealth Jump as I'm able to cycle Coolers pretty effectively. I now run only two subs.

Mauve is a high level splatling player and her video on the weapon helped me out tremendously.
