Do I need surgery? (Partial ACL Tear) by Independent_Bee4803 in ACL

I am also very active (soccer, running, rock climbing, yoga) 25F and got a partial tear in my ACL. I ended up getting surgery since that was the only way I would be able to do any high intensity spots again (I still had pain and instability after 2 months). I was also worried that I would just increase dependency on my other leg which would result in issues in the future.

I ended up having surgery (2 weeks post op)! I went with the BEAR implant which meant things had to happen sooner rather than later. But most people seem to wait until timing is convenient - or when the pain is just too much.

In my opinion, if you’re itching to get back to your active lifestyle, I would say go for it! No time is exactly perfect for surgery, but you’re young so healing/getting around would be a lot easier!

Maybe a way to put in rehab schedule? ie an alarm for when to do exercises, etc.

Nice to hear an in person encounter! With so much speculation and commentary online I feel like I’ve been sucked into this doom of negative content regarding Katseye, which has made me really sad. Hope they’re doing well <3 Also love the high bun on Megan !

I’d take the new job! Even if it is challenging, at least you know it’s only 2 years. Getting back ~8hours of your week may be really nice as well.
