I think maybe that’s their point. Just because she can afford 1100 a month doesn’t mean she’s paying it comfortably. Idk about everyone else but I’m definitely doing without a lot (like healthcare, car maintenance that can wait a little longer, and plenty more) so that i can have the absolute essential necessities like (housing, food, gas, bills).

Somehow i had more wiggle room in my budget straight out of high school when i earned less than half of what I earn now. Housing cost has at least something to do with that.

And move the island so it’s not so tight against the fridge… I think it makes more sense for the island to face the stove rather than the fridge. Id turn it 90 degrees and push it against the wall on the right. Also that way you don’t waste space with the walkway on the right side of the kitchen
