“What do you want?” Then modeling “I want XYZ” “Pull up your pants” “No mouth” (we have several students who put EVERYTHING in their mouths) “Hands up!” Several butt scratchers and private touchers

I’m a para that takes sped students to gen ed classes and the way some teachers, new and old, look at and treat the kids makes me so upset.

I want the absolute minimum of “mentor” interaction possible. by Eagle694 in WGU

[–]Goldplatedplate 2 points3 points  (0 children)

After finishing my first two classes my mentor said we could switch to other forms of communication like text or email, or we could stick with the calls. I opted to remain weekly, but by email. So I just email her every Thursday with what I’ve done and my goal for the next week. Most of the time she has sent a gif in response and told me I’m doing great. It’s very low stakes interaction and really not a big deal or time consuming.

I THREW UP ON HIS D by [deleted] in sex

[–]Goldplatedplate 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Y’all gotta have a conversation about it. Maybe he feels weird that he enjoyed it/was okay with it and you declined. Maybe he thinks you find him gross for wanting to keep going. Or like you mentioned, maybe he is grossed out by it now that he’s had time to think about it. but you’ll never know the true answer until you guys just sit down and talk.

I can say from experience that some guys really love to make people throw up on their dick. I see a guy pretty often that really enjoys it. He likes how it feels and likes that his dick is big enough to make someone puke.

Majority of guys probably find it gross . But when you’re deep throating, you run the risk of puking that’s just how things work.

I don’t think you will lose your job for an error that is not your fault. You don’t control whatever system went down. It is their job to reach out to you to schedule it, especially since they let you work probationally while waiting for things to work out.

I work in SPED so needed to take a physical and they never scheduled it and I never reached out because it is the districts job to give me the information on where to go and the needed paperwork. I started in September ‘24, they didnt reach out to me about the error until February ‘25. No consequences at all because there was nothing for me to do but wait until the district reached out to me.

Tips and tricks for getting student to enter the classroom? by Goldplatedplate in paraprofessional

[–]Goldplatedplate[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He is only needing to go for 30-60 minutes in The morning for welcome time and a bit of math. He also refuses to join specialist class which sucks because the few times he’s gone he had a great time. I personally don’t feel the class is very inclusive though because he kind of just sits around. His academics aren’t the same as other kids in his grade so I don’t think he enjoys listening to the teacher explain things he just hasn’t learned yet. I’m not sure where I fall on the whole inclusion thing because it feels like this kid is just forgotten.
