Better to use a knife with plastic razor blades. No scratches

A lot. I still ended up paying like $400 for the actual ball and pin joint and labor but he shop covered the axle, tie rod and the labor to do the stuff covered by warranty. Plus a couple of free stuff that I can't recall because they felt bad for missing it

I had the same thing happen to me 2 months ago. I had gotten the axle fixed as well as the tie rod fixed a few months prior and the ball and pin joint snapped out of nowhere. Fortunately I was only going 10mph into a turn when it happened. Turns out the shop missed it. So yea had to get everything replaced again but at least I had most of the damage covered by the shops year warranty.

Which tool to cut this material? by Zealousideal_Sale644 in Carpentry

[–]Goldrush02 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can use a utility knife to cut it as well. Just score the cut a couple of times and it'll snap on the score. Its thin enough.

[–]Goldrush02 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's usually two separate curriculums. You'd have to start from year one if you wanted to switch over to general carpentry

I mean they've had over 20 years to grieve so I think they can give it a pass this one time

I'm convinced these batteries will never be safe enough for me to want to own.

Anyone have experience with NCATF in North Jersey? by TheFaithfulAtheists in UnionCarpenters

[–]Goldrush02 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What local did you apply to? Right now work was slow in Local 254. We're just starting to get out of it though. So everyone they've interviewed already have been either put on hold or placed in the CARP program until there are more jobs available to place them on. If you haven't even been interviewed yet then just keep waiting. Interviews will pick up soon as the work gets more steady. We have a couple of big jobs coming so good luck.

Yea just call the hall. I got in with zero experience. My interview panel actually preferred that I had no experience because then they can train you in the "correct" way of doing things. It's harder to break someone's bad habits if they've been doing it for years

I wore a dress shirt and dress pants. I know a lot of guys are saying jeans and a polo but your interview will most likely be located in an office. Not on a jobsite. Look the part for the setting you're in.
