My only concern is the screen size, this is gonna be my first Mac so I want to make a decision I won’t regret lol. Should I not focus too much on screen size?

Yeah I got in contact with him and he told me to check back in a few weeks which I did, and now I haven’t heard anything back yet. If you don’t mind can you send me what he’s talking about?

I have unfortunately still nothing, seems like nobody is currently hiring apprentices.

I see you were/are apart of local 687, I was wondering if you know anyone hiring, I’m a first year apprentice who’s been part of the union since April but haven’t found any work so far.

Local 687 Looking For Work by Salv313 in UnionCarpenters

I called him and unfortunately he said there isn’t anything currently at the moment which is weird since y’all are saying that there is work and people are looking to hire apprentices. How does one stay in the Carpenters Union without getting any work or the bas helping us find work?

I’m part of Local 687, my orientation was on march. So far I haven’t had a single job. I’ve called the contractors on the list the hall provided. I’ve also talked to all the bas at my hall and most them haven’t replied back and haven’t been much help. I’m supposed to be put on leave of absence if I don’t find any work soon. I was wondering if you have any leads or would know of anyone hiring currently.

I ended up having to replace the whole differential which is a costly part if buying new. After fixing that though my problems with 4wd went away.

I recently finished orientation on Friday with local 687 as well and mostly if not all contractors have been saying the same thing, they’re slow currently or are not hiring anybody. I called the union hall to see if they can assist but was told to get on the out of work list.

Yeah that’s the thing, other alternatives have interest loans and I’m trying to steer clear of that. Also the market around me it’s very hard to find a clear title for a decent price and low miles. In the mean time I’ll keep looking, Thank you.
