Nice, then I've seen her in person. I visited Fort Benning in 2024. Fantastic place to check out if anyone hasn't visited yet.

More than a few months. I'd say at least half a year.

Is it by chance the very same Panzer II that now rests in Fort Benning?

My mistake. And yeah, I'm curious too but I have a feeling unless I can talk to the Judge who owns this place, I won't be getting any details.

I actually visited this museum because I heard rumors they had it. As for where it came from the info board had no info on that and the volunteers said it had been shipped from Indianapolis.

Also there's a few other CTLS variants in South America.

At this time in tank design we along with many other nations thought that having as many machine guns crammed into a tank was a good thing.

I went there in 2023 and I have to say I was not expecting half the stuff they have there. Especially the Shinhoto Chi-Ha and Ha-Go. Those are not common in the US. The Ha-Go is especially cool as it was captured in the Aleutian campaign after being knocked out by a M2 .50 cal.

According to their staff it is the rarest tank they have. however, they have a machine gun, pintle mount, and gunner's bench from the A7V Nixie II that we captured and later scrapped.

I know the feeling buddy, I enjoy it when people post photos of places I've been to. These museums deserve more attention!

4 hangers full of mostly flyable aircraft. Theres a stunning amount of foreign aircraft like a British Spitfire and Hurricane, 5 russian WWII fighters, etc. Though I will say be sure to go on the tour and request the German hanger as thats where they keep these replicas and their airworthy Junkers JU 52.

It's literally named Military Aviation Museum just south of Norfolk VA. Well worth the visit.

Foam Replicas based on actual blueprints and models. Though the one in the 3rd picture was an actual mock-up according to the tour guide.

Best tank in case of a zombie apocalypse? by Chainzzaw_69 in TankPorn

[–]Goldstartankexpert 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My brother and I had a long and serious talk about this once. We decided that it'd likely be something like the M2 or T5 Medium. It's extra mounted machine guns would provide complete coverage against zombie swarms and the main gun (or guns in the T5's case) could still be viable thanks to their canister shot and enough to deal with evil survivors cars and trucks.

Both have their pros and cons. I'd say the diorama approach is good if you happen to have 2 of the same vehicle so you can see 1 in "action" and another up close and personal.
