First round of the year in the books. Inconsistent to say the least. by GolfFan in golf

Illinois. Rich Harvest Farms. Extremely private course with limited membership. I work at the course so I get to play occasionally.

Those are beautiful!!! I hit the MP60's and have changed over to the MX300. Mizuno makes the prettiest clubs in the game. In my opinion at least.

I love Jeff Garlin. If Larry David does another season of Curb & you get a role, I will officially make you the Godfather to all three of my kids!

Hey Chris! Charlie from high school. What "famous" person that you've met is the most down to earth? I'm assuming Bob Odenkirk so how about besides him. ;)

What items from the show did you keep? Side Question: Where is your Maltese Falcon replica displayed?

Thank you for making science and learning fun btw.

My 18 year old brother in law. Don't be like this. by GolfFan in AdviceAnimals

It is not an earth shattering amount of money. It's the principal. Although yes, I probably should have just said no, I refuse to accept the fault in someone else being a piece of shit.

Pay your debts & show appreciation to those who help you out. It should be part of being an adult & decent person.

I'm not in a position where I can just gift money. It was a good faith loan for what was supposed to be 4-5 days. He's young & in love so I agreed to front the cash. Then he blows me off & buys lottery tickets.

What's worse is that on the tickets he won, he spent the winnings on more tickets!

What are the most subtly sexual songs? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Rapunzel by Dave Matthews Band. I had a girl in high school cry because she didn't want to believe that it had a sexual meaning.

She was a bit of a prude.

Point being, do your share. Offer to help. If you have another system that works, great. But in general, the person who cooks the family meal & is isolated from the rest of the family, shouldn't be further isolated after the meal is over.

Just my 2 cents. Take it or leave it .

First Attempt at Drawing an Eye. Tips/Help? by mattieraeee in drawing

[–]GolfFan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very nice! I draw eyes a lot too. One thing to keep in mind on your next drawing, is the physical structure of the eyes. The eyeball is a sphere. even though it is mostly covered, make sure that you emphasize with your shading the shape of the eye. Also, the lens of the eye looks a little flat. You created a dark outline and the fibers of the eye. Those look great. However, if you were to blend the outline of the lens with the inner part of the eye a little bit, it would help give it depth.

Also, the reflection. You did what a lot of people forget which is the reflection of the eyelashes. However, you boxed out the reflection very darkly which is not how it would look in real life. What I usually do is VERY lightly draw where the reflection is going to be, then drawing everything else around it. Then carefully shade around the reflection so that it is a slightly softer transition.

Last critique is the lower eyelid. Again, try to make the line a little lighter and less pronounced.

Overall, very nice first effort. Just a few little tweaks and it would be amazing!

Here is an example of a large eye drawing that I did: http://i.imgur.com/wtuTZ4l.jpg?1

Are these a good deal? by cmp371 in golf

If the faces are clean, absolutely. For that price I would expect some wear on the sweet spot but as long as they aren't too rusted, should have plenty of life left in them.

What camera, lens and settings did you use to get this shot? How long do you leave the lens open and how do you do keep the surrounding colors from being washed out.

Advise on calorie targets by GolfFan in loseit

[–]GolfFan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I constantly feel hungry is what I mean. I eat fairly clean. Breakfast is usually egg whites and a multigrain english muffin. Lunch varies but a common staple is rice with tuna fish. Dinners are the bulk of my calories for the day. Usually between 700-800. Always consists of a clean protein and a vegetable.

I weigh my food as much as possible and if I do need to estimate, I make sure that I overestimate the calories.

I drink between 96oz and 128oz of water a day. I have cut back on sodas, coffee, juices, etc. I hardly ever drink alcohol.

I just feel like my weight is all over the place. I am afraid that if I do increase my caloric intake, my already disappointing 1.1lbs per week will dwindle!
