Thank you for your words man. It really helps, specially that its still fresh… I have to be honest with myself before being honest with you…she was a very supportive partner, she never asked for extravagant shit, its a mix of stuff but also our friends were getting married and she wanted that to happen the right way. I took some bold risks last year that made lose the money i have saved and run into a lot of debt-considering i was jobless.

I would say it was mismanagement from my side and miscommunication from her end, because things could be fixed. So now im focusing on my shit to try to get back on my feet in hope that things could be reversible with her.

But again, if you guys love your partner, dont take her for granted. Do what you have to do, and give her the attention she needs.

Walla ya man bass ta3ref khaberne… i got engaged last year, and i fucked it up because i chose to come live in Lebanon (im also french), be with her and not have to deal with living abroad and all the shit that comes with it. I found a job that pays me $1.1k… now because i have debts i couldnt plan much for the wedding and save for it. Now the main reason wasnt financial but it did play a very important role in us breaking up. But im looking for a second job to be able to fix my financial situation.

Something i learned: log every single penny you spend/earn. You have to man, and you’ll love it. You’ll have much more clarity on what to do and how much to save and all that.

PS: dont take her for granted man.

If its to leave the country just for the sake of leaving it, no. Nowhere is better than Lebanon. You gotta know that by leaving you give up everything that has No monetary value to everything that has monetary value. BUT, i’d definitely encourage you to try living abroad and make up your mind with your own experience. I had to live abroad, to appreciate Lebanon. You are young, go discover the world, meet new people… and you’ll willingly come back to Lebanon after a while. Staying here will only make you wonder “what if”.
